My Motherland

I described already my feelings about Mother eRussia. Now I would like to speak about this from another angle.

Sometimes a troll accuses me of "not being Russian" and demands that I stop speaking about eRussia as my Motherland. Well, xenophobia is a common problem in many nations and eRussia is not an exception. I am not ethnic Russian and I never pretended to be, but I have decided to be eRussian from the very beginning of the game, and this has an impact on how I feel and act in eRepublik.

Ars Regendi is an on-line game where you always govern a country, based on a real life country in a certain point of time. Not surprisingly, my country (NovAlexandria) was based on Russia. This was before I knew eRepublik, and in the forums of that game I read for the first time about this one.

And so I came, knowing absolutely nothing about the political situation of the eWorld. I made my character, and there I could see the world map... I was astonished and horrified about the situation of eRussia, occupied by Finland, Hungary, Indonesia, and Romania, if I remember well, at that moment. I thought that there was "a lot to do there". I decided to be born in a region I could see as eRussian, and worked for the first time in my e-life.

Next day I checked the game and I was no longer in eRussia. I was in eHungary. I did not understood a word. But I knew one thing: I did not want to be eHungarian, thank you! I wanted to be eRussian!

I learned to fight, I changed the job as soon as I could with my wonderful Skill 1.2 😃... I knew few about moves so when I moved to a Q5 hospital it was to central eHungary. When I finally understood everything I moved to Kalinigrad and immediately (Tihinen still remembers) asked the President of the Country where I could fight for eRussia. Well, the rest "is history".

What I want to say is, when I ask our allies in eHungary to "give us our Motherland back", I am not "only" speaking in the name of a desire which is in the heart of many eRussians. I am not "only" speaking in the name of The Cossacks. And I am not "only" speaking about the Big Mamma eRussia and its territorial integrity. Yes, I am doing all this, but not only.

This here is also a very, very personal subject matter.

I was born in North-Caucasus.

And it was eRussia.

Give me my Motherland back!
