My eRep tools, Technorodent and their purpose

Introduction

As many people might have noticed already, I have made several tools for eRepublik. Since the surge of popularity of my signature system, I've been thinking of a way of informing the users of new changes to the system and providing them with a way to give feedback. There's a thread that almost fulfills that purpose on the eUSA forums, but naturally not everybody is there.

Then I thought, why not settle for the common denominator of the users? That is, eRepublik itself. If I'm making tools for a game, it wouldn't really make sense to not communicate through the game, especially since it allows such an easy method of communication. So, the purpose of this newspaper is to serve as a channel of information about my tools.

I ask the users of my tools to subscribe to my newspaper for two reasons: Firstly, subscribers will be among the first to know of any changes to my tools. Secondly, it will help me know how many people actually use them! (And motivate me to do more tools! 😉 So please, do subscribe.

Dynamic signatures

I think I was the first one to create a dynamic signature system for eRepublik. Basically the system creates you a dynamic signature image that you can use on forums or similar, with the signature updating daily to show your progress in-game.

The original system is a bit crude - and ugly, I'll have to admit. Therefore I'm almost completely remaking the whole system! It's going to be 100% customisable when I release the new version, so stay tuned. As a sneak peek, one of the infinite possibilities:

A simple web page that asks you for your citizen name or ID and a couple of other things, and shows you when your eCitizen will be promoted to a higher military rank, how and when your strength increases and how and when your working skill increases. Company mini-tools (now obsolete)

This tool, now obsoleted by way better ones and actually the new/old company module itself, was originally meant to fix the problem that you couldn't see your workers' wellnesses on the company page as a General Manager. It's listed here just for the sake of completeness.

Rowboat

Rowboat is a modular IRC bot framework written in Python. It has a quite large and versatile eRepublik module that currently serves eFinland and eJapan (I think). If you need an IRC bot on your channel, tell me and I think I can arrange that.
Rowboat is going to be open source in the future when I get the code cleaned up enough for it to be released.
