Day 1,629, 07:30 Published in USA Pakistan by Kutluk Bilge Kul Ishamael

As the USA and the wider world concludes another presidential cycle, I sat by my laptop and pondered over the state of the politics in our beloved country. This particular election had resulted in the win of the excellent Artela, a Goddess of War, who had delivered for us in the past on many different occasions and been someone to look upto in the post four weeks.

However, there was no euphoria, no joy, no real competition or excitement about what the future could bring to us.

Quite simply, the current presidential elections (although much more competitive than the last ones) were not much of a competition. We had an AMP member supported by the Feds because he couldn’t get his own party’s nomination, the head of the rank 5 party who is called a troll in every other comment, a PTO threat and another player from a party outside the top 10 standing for election to rival a distinguished candidate endorsed by the rank one party.

While many of you readers will stop reading this article at this stage considering this another rant at the supposed “elites” who control the Meta game, I implore you to continue. Although a new player, albeit one who has immigrated from another browser game, I do understand the role of the elites- and I think that their control of the meta game is definitely beneficial for the USA as a whole. We see these guys work hard – and never get thanked- while they prevent PTO threats from running for Congress, chart out foreign policy which most players simply don’t care about and ensure the smooth running of our country. While some of this may be fueled by their desire to stay in power in some cases, no one can deny that their control has helped the USA to a large extent.

However, an excess of everything is bad…and I am led to believe that this control is turning into something bad for the USA as a whole.

Politics, as an entirety, is improved and improvised upon by revolution..whose basis in most cases is the upsetting of the status quo starting by competition between two different factions, generally the haves- and havenots. Considering the dynamics of this game, its quite impossible for the other political parties to do much if four of the top five continue their picking of presidential nominees. While I am not calling for a Revolution, I do think that USA politics need more competition between the top 5.

Considering that 3 of the top 4 endorsed one candidate and the party rank fifth endorsed another, which in hindsight looks like it was done to get second place, so that incase of any untoward accident towards nominee #1, the smooth functioning of the government could continue with a legit substitute; one is led to believe that US politics are becoming a stagnant lot. Whether it is Congressional elections- where one can almost certainly expect certain candidates to win if they stand in certain states- to the Presidential elections whose results are becoming easier to predict by the day, we are witnessing a stagnation of sorts in our country.

Stagnation, in any walk of e-life, whether it is political, economic or military- is bad. It leads to boredom for the general public, soon leading to dis interest and apathy. A PTO threat can flourish in such an environment, with a dissuaded public being apathetic towards it at best or supporting it in a worse case scenario.

I implore the powers that be to compete more, in a friendly way, to increase user interest in the game. Not since the Oblige/Israel Stevens elections has there been competition. Make this game fun for the average player, let us pick our horses in the proverbial horse race and give us a choice on the ballot next time.
