Multi-Fascism in eCanada

Salutations eCanada. I come before you as a concerned politician, and citizen. If you notice in the title, I am here to talk about Fascism in our beloved country. Lets define Fascism first to get an understanding of what it means.
"Fascism (often capitalized) : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition." - www.merriam-webster.com
The overall definition means that one party trying to get power and trying to control the government. Now turn your eyes towards our top 5 parties. They all have one thing in common, they want to have absolute control. They recruit citizens as fast as they can so they can get a power hold in voting in both the presidential elections and congressionals. They have voters even on back up to bomb the polls and get people in congress or presidentials.
Every party is guilty. DAL, CPP, CSD, CPF, CNC, everyone. ( Alot of parties with C's eh?) This is an attack ad at everyone. I even find myself guilty of trying get my party, the CSD to get almost absolute control of the government. This Multi-Facism must end.
Here is the definition of Republic:
" Democracy: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections."- www.merriam-webster.com
Notice the part "...power is vested in the people...". I plead the parties of Canada to abolish all forms of trying to gain power through cut throat politics. Give others a fair chance. Let the people decide whom they want in congress or president, don't tell them who to vote for. the people will choose if they think your candidate is the best. Lets exercise freedom and actual democracy. Otherwise we will see who we might spawn:
Hitler
Mussolini
Or dare I say, Big Brother.

If this were the case, then every politician in the world would be fascist which is not the case. This is a limited viewpoint. Power can be bad, certainly, but power can be good, too. Where would we be without great politicians like Tommy Douglas who gave us our healthcare system?
But Tomy Douglas was a Socialist. Im talking about Party ideology and its true meaning. This game has turned into a facist undertone which is quite distasteful.
Do you notice that one of the smaller parties (the CPP) has won the presidential nomination for several consecutive terms? There's more to it than that.
I don't agree with this article at all. There is a difference between campaigning for votes and Fascism. Elections are held every month and you are not forced to vote for anyone you don't want to. In fact, you could play this game for years and not vote if that was your choice. I agree that the different parties are all on a quest to win the most votes but that is because they want to lead the country and implement policies that they think will help Canada. I'm not saying politics doesn't involve a quest for power but then again, look up the definition of politics.

FWIW, eCanada seems to have some pretty good politicians who do a lot to serve the public - there's nothing wrong with getting a little scrappy and having a good rip roaring clash of ideas so long as we don't get thin skinned about it and hold petty grudges
Its the day after, we've got a pretty good leader and government, our enemy is PEACE and we all need to work together to defeat our enemy and help this nation succeed
From what I've heard, the only de facto multi-fascist in eCan history was Adam Sutler. Yes, I meant that on more than one level.
I apologize for offending any Sutlerites out there. However, one could also argue he was the most democratic leader eCanada has ever seen because "power is vested in the people" and Sutler was more than half the people.
Non-partisanship is not yet dead in eCanada.
I would not say that Canada is Multi-Fascist at all. I wouldn't call our government (or any major party platforms) authoritarian or autocratic at all.
I also agree with hb741 about the instant loss of credibility that the Hitler/Mussolini/Big Brother pictures brought.
I cant vouch for other parties, but I can tell you that the absolute control is not the goal of the CNC. Our platform is practically based on trying to get all types of people from all parts of the political spectrum to work together and get s*** done!
Hence the "Coalition" in the title

Parties struggle for power in a democracy too. Each party tries to form the government so they can push through their own legislation, and policy, no matter how poor it is. Each party wants to have a monopoly on power. The difference between Fascism and Democracy is only the name, Duke.

There is no Multi in Facism.
But if you have trouble understanding what fashism is all about feel free to ask me, Adasko, HuCard or BBJ or anyone else from a country that knows how facism feels. And believe me, Canada is as far away from facism as it gets.

You don't have to call it Hitler if you don't like it. Party politics isn't fascism. If anything, party politic here is looser than in real life: where the party leader can sack people who dissent.

The thing is political party's don't force you to vote for them, even if you are an active member, and part of a allocated voting program you still have to the freedom to wiggle your mouse pointer over to a different candidate that you prefer. Your argument is weak because of human nature itself. The need to rebel and separate yourself will always protect you from any 'brainwashing' or 'obedience training' that would otherwise steal away your vote.

Fascism is a system that is as it says, autocratic, lead by a dictatorial leader, the same as any of it's offspring (nazis too). And I don't see any dictatorship around here.
