Muglack: The best choice for eCanadian President.

Day 988, 14:22 Published in Canada Canada by Muglack

As some of you may know I have managed to get myself on the ballot for the CP elections this month. It wasn't as hard I thought it would be, but due to my party only having four members (Team Friendship--- join today!) I was quite literally at the bottom of the list of potential candidates.

Luckily I beat the odds and here I am. Now a little back story as to why I wanted to run in the first place.

As I stated in previous articles I was not delusional, nor did I expect to win. What did want, and expect, was that as a candidate I would be invited to take part in the party debates when they chose their candidates. By being involved in the debates I would be able to bring up the topics that the other candidates would try to avoid. I would be able to push the conversation forward, and then the people could choose the actual best candidate, and not just the one that did the best job of pushing their rhetoric.

Sadly, the invitations never came. I posted on party forums, I spoke to PP's, and I did everything I could to be part of the discussions. In the end my name wasn't even included on the party ballots for who to support. Not even the party I consider myself a member of (the CPF) saw fit to include my name in the poll on the forum. What could I do but take it in stride. I accepted it and moved on.

This laissez-faire attitude continued until today. Now I will lay out as plainly and clearly as possible why I am actually the best candidate for the job of CP. Why when it's all said and done you should vote for me instead of the other candidates. Why I would not only be the best choice, but the smart choice for the position of eCanada's CP.

I intend to post facts that illustrate why I am the best choice. Nothing I post will be opinions, it will all be empirical evidence as to why I am the best name on the ballot.

FACT 1: I have the most EXPERIENCE.

Muglack - 5317 exp
Jacobi - 5160
Acacia - 2393
Sebastian - 1985
Alucard - 1376

As you can see, with the exception of Jacobi I have quite literally more than double the experience of the other 3 candidates.

Fact 2: I've never left eCanada high and dry.

I'm the only candidate who hasn't in one way or another left eCanada in the lurch. I have served eCanada as faithfully as possible since the day my eCitizen was born. None of the other candidates can say that.

Acacia - With 2 rage quits under his belt, who's the say another isn't in the works? He's never had a job as stressful as CP and there's no way to tell if a bad day won't set off another meltdown.

Jacobi - Less than two months ago he told us we were on our own and left for "greener pastures" in the eUS. Then he comes back and low and behold he's running for CP. Is that REALLY acceptable? What happens next time he has enough. Who's to say where his head's at and if we can trust him.

Sebastian - He planned to quit when V2 was released. I know this because I was his CO in the CAF pre-V2. In fact to this day his avatar says, "Boycott V2". With an attitude like that who knows when he'll walk away and leave us all in the unenviable position of being without a CP. We were there once recently (thanks Fram) I for one do not want that to ever happen again.

Alucard - A true stalwart of the Old Guard. He did more for eCanada then most of us could ever imagine. But that was 2 years ago. Where's he been since then? With banned citizen accounts, and only being able to play on his org he sat on a stack of money and watched as eCanada burned. He wasn't there when we truly needed him. Do past deeds make up for present failures? I don't think so.

Fact 3: I fought in the trenches to restore eCanada.

Of the 5 candidates only 2 of us were present when eCanada was invaded and consequently removed from the world map. Myself and Jacobi. Where one of us played the role of diplomat the other was up to his neck in Hungarian corpses and fought tooth and nail to get back our country. After eCanada was destroyed I kept the fight alive. I moved to eSpain, and then when that fell I moved to eGreece. All the while fighting as best I could against PEACE GC.

As an eCanadian only two of us have seen the country disappear, and then did everything we could do make it reappear. Only 2 of us understand truly what that means, and what it feels like to have your last region taken from you. I felt that pain as a soldier. I felt it as a man on the street would. I know that I would do anything in my power to stop that from happening ever again. The other person was a firmly entrenched politician when it happened. His fumbling of the situation gave rise to "Bruck's Canucks" (now "The Crimson Order&quot😉 who thought he wasn't doing a good enough job. Would the same thing happen if eCanada was attacked today? There's no way to know, but I don't think it's worth the risk.

I ask you tomorrow as you enter the virtual voting booth to weigh out the pros and cons. I ask you to think not only about who is the best politician, or pollster. I ask you to not put your faith in the person who's worn the hat before. I ask you to select the person who will shoot straight because he has nothing to gain. To vote for the person who has no private interests to protect. To vote for the man who has no party allegiance or backdoor deals that will come before the good of the country and it's citizens.

Come election day tomorrow I ask you to vote for the person who honestly and above all else wants to protect the citizens of our nation, and make sure that in 30 days we still have a nation left, and will do whatever he can to make sure that we're in a better position than when we started.

I ask you to vote for Muglack on August 5th.
