Many of you will have noticed that Thailand has been without a fight for a few days and our MPP list has shrunk dramatically. An attack on the Philippines last month interrupted the Malaysian hosted Training war’s which we for so long relied on for as a regular source of battles and these games have now come to a sad end as Malaysia MPP list grows thin and the games are no longer economically viable.

Additionally last month we were able to sign several additional MPP’s. The threat of Indonesia taking Southern Thailand from us as a route to India not only affected us, but also USA and allies who would then have to defend their high Iron region to our West. Consequently we were able to enjoy an additional MPP whilst the larger countries provided the gold to fund the full MPP cost.

A slowdown in the eWorld economy has meant wages are lower, goods prices are lower and therefore tax revenues are lower. Whilst this makes it harder for Thailand, as a small nation, to fund the cost of an MPP it also means that US, Croatia etc. cannot offer us the generous terms that we gratefully received last month. Consequently we have to be prudent and make the best decisions that provide protection and regular battles.

There are currently very few battles worldwide, some political tension around some of the alternative training wars and less consistency than we got from the peak of the SOL war games when the start time was consistently with 2hrs of the erep midday. The decision must be made with care so as not to have other unanticipated negative consequences.

A training war usually works in that one country signs many alliances, and to fund this the other country pays the MPP cost for both countries, a total of 200g per month (roughly 6.5g daily). This is the likely cost to Thailand and one that uses all of our government revenue during tough times as we are in now. Whilst we are not funding this MPP Thailand saving means that we have an extra 6.5g daily to put towards social services, training companies, savings for the future including v2, now known as eRepublik Rising, with more details highlighted here etc. However, the benefit to citizen growth, weapons manufacturers and Thai morale from having available fights remains a key priority of this government. We have spoken with Croatia and Romania about possible MPP’s to benefit from their regular battles and the possible emergence of SOL war games from China is also a consideration. A new MPP is hoped to be signed in the next few days with regular war returning from the weekend.

Thailand Needs War!!
