Moving Companies, Quick Primer

Hi kids!

I've thrown caution to the wind and moved early. Just to let you know, the process is straightforward, nothing too complex. To avoid any confusion allow me to tell of my experience.

> If you have an(y) empty Holding Company get rid of it/them.

"When creating a new holding company after you have deleted one, the cost will be reduced to the same as when you had originally created it." *


> Move to the desired location. (In my case, Yellowknife, NWT.)

> Change Residence if you plan on WaMing.

"In order to establish a residence in a city, a citizen needs to travel to the city, apply for a residential permit and pay the one time residential tax and the property tax (if they have active houses)." **


> Create a new Holding Company,
unless for some reason one is already there.

"...will have a specific cost in currency, as follows:
...cost = number of holding companies owned × 25 GOLD
...the first holding company created is free." *

What they are trying to say is that your first Holding Company was free. The second costs currency equivalent of 25g. At today's prices, about 500cc per gold, 12,500cc for #2, 25,000cc for #3, etc.


> Select Factories/Companies to be moved with Tokens.
Be aware that Factories use a number of Tokens equal to their Q.
Thankfully, RMs use only one Token whatever their Q.
You cannot select more than you have Tokens!
(Dash it all, I had to try! 😁)

> Click the "Reset" button, those are now Unassigned.

> Select the remainder to be moved and click "Move".

> Finally you can reassign everything to the new Holding Company.
