Monetary Market
ronnyJnrJnr
Hello again my dearest little cherubs.
With all the changes in eRepublik lately, it's a surprise that the Monetary Market hasn't actually changed over the course of these other changes in-game. Today i am going to try and explain a little about the Monetary Market and it's uses...until it changes I guess
To begin with there are several different sides to consider when looking at the markets. There are the 2 obvious markets, Gold and Cash, but there is also a secondary agenda behind the facade of just gold and cash, and that is of buy and sell. Only after level 15 are you able post money on the market. This prevents a few mistakes but not all.
One side, is the "Sell Gold/ Buy gold market". What this basically means is that you are posting your Gold on the market for someone to buy for cash. If you have no cash but gold, this is the side where you put your sale. If you have only cash and no gold, this is also where you can simply purchase gold
This is where you must be sure to check your work before you post to make sure that all the figures are correct. Once you are certain the numbers are correct, post your offer.
Gold is selling for 142 AUD at the moment. Here i have shown how to post your gold for sale
The sell cash / buy cash side is only available after you have local currency from the market in which you are trading. If you have no gold and do not wish to purchase from gold market, then selling your cash is the alternative. Knowing the price of gold is very helpful to know in the first post. 1 divided by the price of gold will give you an approximate value of the local currency
1/142 =0.007
Always check the markets before you decide to post as the margins on either side can be quite high on some occasions.

Good article ronnyJnrJnr.
Buying AUD has stayed at 0.008(125) for quite some time only briefly lapsing to 0.009(110) when the My Land changes occurred.
So in the vast majority of cases the Buy Gold/Sell Cash market will have the most expensive gold and the Sell Gold/Buy Cash market will have the most expensive AUD.
it's actually lvl 15 to post gold on monetary market
Good info. Note that you can't change a MM posting for 5 minutes, so if you make a mistake like accidentally post 1 gold for 1 AUD, you can probably say goodbye to that money.
@Wally: Good point. I noticed someone made that error the other day with someone posting their Q1 food @ a matter of cents.
thanks for the info... at the moment im saving gold (only lvl 10). would you recommend selling gold or saving it at my level?
great work ronny
As mentioned above brendo, you can't sell it until lvl 15 anyway mate. Keep squirrelling it away......
more information and articles for newbies would be much better. i had played this game before but after so many changes sometimes it may become very complicated and easy-to-mistake for beginners. a work by ministry of education would be more than great!
