MoC - Q5 Gun Offer and Wiki News

Day 936, 15:04 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish Community

Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, to another eIrish Community Update. This one will be fairly brief as it really is mostly just an update.

Also I have a Q5 gun to giveaway, more of that later...

But First...

As I'm sure you're all aware eRepublik has a wikipedia that provides all kinds of information about the game. During my first term as MoC I tried to get Ireland's information there up to date and found that particular task to be actually impossible, though I did the best I could back then and have tinkered a couple of times since, partly during my time as MoInfo. Way back then, in order to learn how to edit a wiki, I made a citizen page for myself that I today went to edit again because I hadn't in an age, and also because I wanted to try a few new wiki codes out before I launch a new project.

This is the wiki page I made for myself and you're being shown this because there is a sore lack of information on our eIrish citizens on the wiki, several very notable citizens don't have pages at all and some that do are way out of date or very sparse on content. Now in full honesty I don't have the time or the resources to rectify that alone, there's too much I don't know about some people and I'd miss whole chunks of important stuff if I tried. So here's my offer to you - if you'll write your own (or that of someone you know well enough to get a fairly comprehensive biography of) I'll format and upload it as soon as I can. PMs don't allow for a lot of space so please PM me directly if you have a bio written and I'll PM you back my email address. If you've ever been a minister, a CO, if you've lead/founded a party, been a CP or a significant business owner in particular I would like to get something up about you. In an ideal world I'd get something up about everyone but particularly if you've made some noise around here 😉

Updates

Firstly - there's still time to nominate for the Irish State Community Awards. Please remember to send your nominations to Irish State Community Fund as a fair few made their way here by mistake.

Secondly - IP is back today and so the carnival should be all wrapped up in the next couple of days. I'll try to have the lottery going later this week, maybe around the time the second round of community award voting goes live.

Thirdly - That weapon I mentioned? Anyone who donates money at all (even a tiny amount) to Irish State Community Fund by this time next Sunday is in line to win it. Each time you donate you get yourself another chance, I think I actually have five I can spare so there could be a few winners but there will be at least one, and winning one doesn't stop you winning the others if I can muster a few together.

Anyway that's it for now,
~Donut
