My name is Dabman, and I have been selected by Prime Minister Jacobi to represent your government in the media as Minister of Communications. Before I begin my first news article, let me introduce myself so that you are aware of any bias I may have:

PEACE DECLARES WAR ON CANADIAN ALLY UNITED STATES

Caption: Indonesian troops preparing for mobilization

PEACE spokesman GLaDOS has declared (link) in a statement that the PEACE alliance is preparing to attack USA on June 15th, 2009. The entire announcement has been reproduced below:

" Dear Citizens of the United States of America

I, PEACE spokesman GLaDOS, Hereby announce that the PEACE global community intends to invade your homeland regions on June 15th, 2009. We plan to invade and destroy your Q5 hospitals, then march on to DC, just for the heck of it."

Please discuss this recent newsbreak while we wait for Congress and the Federal Government to release official statements. Let it be known, though the government takes this threat very seriously, the legitimacy of the threat has not been confirmed. Thordan, Minister of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service has stated that "GLadDOS is a very public and high ranking PEACE officer, suggest this be taken very seriously".

*UPDATE*

I have just managed to speak to GLadDOS on IRC, and he has confirmed that the PEACE threat was serious. GLadDOS stated "would joke about something like that?", and that he "mean[t] it".

For the sake of history, it needs to be written here that GLadDOS' threat did not end up being legitimate. His "joke" announcement can be found at the following link here, which is published below for historical purposes:
