Minor Congressional Interviews with Feds

Day 855, 19:58 Published in USA USA by Federalist Media & Marketing

Written by eliwood_sain

The following are small PM questionaires filled out by all Fed candidates. All follow the format of the following:

1. Introduce yourself in a paragraph.

2. Tell of your political experience.

3. Why did you want to run for Congress?

4. Why do you believe you would make a good Congressperson?

5. What would be your biggest effort during your month in Congress?

1st, myself

1. I've been here forever, I've held positions in party politics, media, and FOP. I'm currently the co-assistant Media director on the internal side, Fed congressional leader, and Pony Express Director.

2. I've served 5 months in Congress plus I've been a active Fed for several months now.

3. Same answer I've been filling out my forms with. I've not screwed up, I'm not going, and its fun.

4. See any of my previous platforms.

5. Mostly working on keeping Congress active and accountable.

2nd, Trick246

1. Introduce yourself in a paragraph:

I'm Trick246, and I am running in Wisconsin for the 28th session of Congress. I am a proud officer in Seal Team 6, ambassador to eChile, and a member of PigInZen's cabinet.

2. Tell of your political experience

I was sniped from congress last election, but the majority of my political experience has been in the White House this last term as a Deputy Chief of Staff. I can't discuss most of my work and activity as it is still classified, however it has involved working with different departments, groups, countries, and area of Government. A lot of my work has been working with and overseeing the department Technology and the Department of the Interior, which are two departments I am very fond of.

3. Why did you want to run for Congress? ///4. Why do you believe you would make a good Congressperson?

I feel I have something to add to the debate, and I feel that my experience brings something to the table. My work in the White House, and my experience with the Seals gives me a unique voice and background compared to the rest of congress. I can speak out in favor of the militia system in the eUS, and work as a liaison between the executive branch and the current session of congress. I think my passion and work ethic help give me an edge and a drive to succeed. Finally, I am the Chief Operating Officer of an eRep company worth nearly 7,000 gold and growing every single day. I have a lot of exposure to different areas of the game, while most candidate's exposure is fairly limited.

5. What would be your biggest effort during your month in Congress if you are elected?

I am deeply involved in a lot of different area of the game. A lot of that is going to come down to where I am needed most, which I feel will be the Budget and Financial committee or working with retention.

Next, Jeremyr

1. My name is Jeremyr I am a returning one term congressman from Wyoming. I am about 9 months old in my elife. I am a former TC Major and a FED4life. I run the REACH program as Director and The FOP as an assistant Director.

2. Politically I have been in congress. I was a Tier One Senator for the IES. I am the Director of REACH off site recruiting. I was the eUS ambassador to eIsrael.

3. I want to run for congress to help administrate the eUS in a responsible manner. NO lulz proposals, no rouge immigratration approvals no clicking buttons that let Phoenix members and trolls in. No adjusting taxes without public approval, and no debate of any hospitals outside of current fortress strategy*. *When v2 hits this may need to be reconsidered. I have been a congressman and i like being a congressman and I will continue to run until I stop getting votes.

4. I have already proved myself in congress. I am very active. I know how it works. I can write a proposal. I can get things done. I will be a good congressman because I am determined to be a good congressman.

5. If elected this term my biggest task would be to reform the IES system to get quick, effective, approvals and pass laws stating what should be done in the case of unauthorized approvals to keep the lulz candidates and the pto candidates from allowing dangerous people from infiltrating the eUS.

Following him, Benedict James

1. Introduce yourself in a paragraph:

Benedict James here. After two previous stints in eRep, I return with new enthusiasm. In my previous eLives, I ran my own gun company and made a run for Congress. I worked with the likes of DesertFalcon who gave me much advice in my early eLife. Now, I anxiously await the release of v2, assured that apart from the bugs and tweaks, v2 will add a new layer of enjoyment and excitement to the game.

2. Tell of your political experience

I currently work hard in the Federalist party to encourage player retention and to keep people active involved. This program is part of the Federalist's Outreach Program. Additionally, I serve in the party militia. Apart from these official eRep endeavors, I work off-site helping to build websites to supplement the eRep experience.

3. Why did you want to run for Congress?

Because I am here to make a positive impact on the average eRep player's experience. While the power of a single Congressman is limited, I will fight throughout my 30 days in office to build up player retention, strengthen the United States, and encourage activity in various groups, be they political parties, military units, or media pools. There is a strong connection between the activity of politicians and the experience of players, a connection which ought not to be denied. I will never lose sight of this connection.

4. Why do you believe you would make a good Congressperson?

In addition to having a solid understanding of game mechanics, I would make a good Congressman because I acknowledge that Congress is not a circle enclosed unto itself and whose decisions affect only those with power and influence. The decisions of Congress affect everyone, even the one-day-old player. Therefore, I will ensure that every effort is put in maximizing player retention.

5. What would be your biggest effort during your month in Congress if you are elected?

Aside from the above---a huge push to revamping efforts to increase player retention---I consider the coming of v2 to be of most pressing concern. While some consider v2 to be a far off reality, the truth is, we don't know when v2 is coming out. It is best to act as though v2 could come at any moment. Still, regardless of the timeline, it is essential that Congress have conversations and be ready to enact tax policies that will be most beneficial to a v2 economy. It is essential that the debate occurs before v2 comes out, not after. I will put every ounce of energy I have into making this conversation and this v2 policy a reality.

After him, Talio Extremist

1. Introduce yourself in a paragraph:

Well there is not much to say except that like everyone I first started as a naïve two clicker fresh from a Facebook ad and one day away from calling it quits. However as I began digging through the information and reading many of the articles at the time, I began to notice this game was somewhat different. You see I started when eUS was just beginning to regain its original states (regions) back. People were actually passionate about the game at that time and a sense of community was emerging. Then upon reaching level 7, I joined the federalist after long review of each parties platform and shortly after that the Training Core in the eMilitary. The eMilitary taught me the game mechanics, the Federalist sense of comradely and the means to do something worthwhile in game for a cause. Since then I have been hooked and have tried to help whenever and wherever possible.

2. Tell of your political experience

Besides IRL leadership skills and political science courses taken during college, which means nothing in the eRepublik world, my experience has been mostly at the party level and information picked up while reviewing eUSForum informational and house threads. As an active Federalist, I have been involved as a precinct captain, District Representative, Mentor Program, EZCo Training Coordinator, and as of late the Director of the Media Department.

3. Why did you want to run for Congress?

Easy enough question …

1) It will be a personal growth opportunity to serve the people and the federalist members in a larger capacity then just at a party level.
2) Help pass reform in congress to create a sustainable economy.
3) Get involved in retaining and growing new citizens.
4) Have a good time.

4. Why do you believe you would make a good Congressperson?

It is sad to see so many people that in the past have become members of congress only to either resign during their term or do not get involved at all. My goals as a congressperson is to be active, informed, and foster new relationships.

5. What would be your biggest effort during your month in Congress if you are elected?

After I quickly get up to speed, I plan to get involved in any committees that open up. In addition, I hope to build up trust and respect with the other congress members. Finally, support proposals that help strengthen our economy that supports business development.

Finally, Rekeri

1. Introduce yourself in a paragraph:

eRekeri - my newspaper has my previous resumes for my past Congressional bids as well as my current one, therefore that may serve as my introduction.

2. Tell of your political experience

I was a member of the 25th (December - January) Congress as the Congressman of New Mexico. My political existence has resided almost entirely with the Federalist Party and I am currently a Precinct Captain in the FOP.

3. Why did you want to run for Congress?

I feel that I can: (a) be an active member of Congress, (b) actually add something to the discussion, (c) am interested in representing the Federalist Party at that level, and (d) I like to win, I do not like to lose. 😁

4. Why do you believe you would make a good Congressperson?

I have yet to miss a day working or training since starting this game, I'm on IRC for a good quarter of the day (at least) on a daily basis, and I have varying experiences other than just being a Congressman (military, foreign policy, economic and budgetary) that make me a stronger candidate for the position than others may be.

5. What would be your biggest effort during your month in Congress if you are elected?

Besides the obvious kicking ass, it's startled me that I haven't seen a CBO offer on the monetary market in quite awhile. My first term as a Congressman was in the Budget and Finance committee and that is where I would like to devote my energy if elected again.

Some candidates did not appear because I did not get a reply.

Vote Fed tomorrow.
