Minimum wage: do we need devaluation? [updated]

Day 961, 04:17 Published in Ireland Italy by supermaghe

Just a short article to focus on a problem caused by v2/rising: minimum wage is now referred to hourly wage and no more to daily wage.

As the minimum wage can not be set to less than 1 IEP, a newbie will be paid up to 12 IEP/day (if they work 12 hours), but they will produce something that is much less valuable.

Many petitions are on going but I am not sure this is an error: this could be an admin choice to increase money earned/spent...

So what do we do? In my opinion we have two choices: let the market regulate itself (prices will anyway rise) or devaluate IEP issuing money. Usa congress has already started USD devaluation.

What is your opinion?

Update by admins: We have just modified the lowest minimum salaries for every country by dividing them by 10. The change comes as a result of the fact that in eRepublik Rising, the salary is paid on a hourly basis, not in daily basis anymore. Example: A minimum national salary of 5 local currency has become 0.5 local currency.
Also, we have improved the balancing formulas. We've spotted some issues in raw materials consumption, thanks to your submitted tickets, and we have just fixed them. For more info about how things work in the new economy module, you should constantly check the eRepublik Wiki.

Nice job, problem solved. 😉
