Minden eladó

Ma vettem egy Battle Hero medált. Miért is, hiszen van négy, amiből hármat teljesen kiérdemeltem, megharcoltam értük, a negyedik meg puszta mázli volt? Mennyi értelme is van BH medált szerezni egy régió-swap-ban...? Pénzben is ki lehetne számolni, de annak kevés értelmét látom; a mázlin kívül a BH-k mind sokba kerülnek, és senki nem a megnyerhető 5 goldért akarja őket. Akkor miért is? A presztízsért? Hiszen már egy hét múlva sem fog senki utánanézni, hogy valóban hősies 20 k-t vagy csak szerényke 300-at ütött a 'hős' a csatában, ami nem is volt csata... de a medál(ok) ott lesz(nek) a profilon, lehet velük büszkélkedni.

Ahogyan a felszabadító RW-k megvásárolt, licitált medáljaival is, hiszen sokunknak csak az az egy hiányzott a medálsorról, ráköltöttük az aranyainkat, megvettük, hogy meglegyen... és mára már a valaha oly nehéz, oly ritka Média Mogul sem elérhetetlen - tucatnyi csoport, szervezet csinál subscribe-kampányokat, ahol némi pénzért kapsz párszáz előfizetőt, és megszerezheted a hőn áhított medált... Congress-tag ma már bárhol lehetsz, szavazatokat venni se kerül szinte semmibe erepen, ha lesz még pár tucat kis ország, akár a president medál is ebbe a kategóriába kerülhet.

Minden eladó és mindent meg is vesznek. Megvettem én is, mert volt rá pénzem és miért ne. Nem tartom sokra a medált, amit kaptam érte. Ez nem Hero medál, itt nincs szó hősiességről, ez az 'állj készen, most te jössz, tárazz be, nehogy leüssenek, az árát utald át ide' kategóriája. Akinek elég pénze van tucatjával veheti ezt a fajta a medált. Még csak nem is irigylem, pénzem az van, lenne rá most, de... hogy is mondjam, a medál értékét az én szememben alaposan devalválja az, hogy tucatjával lehet venni, mint a répát a piacon... 'kérek féltucatot, abból a szebbikből, a németből adjon nekem!'

Szóval eladó lett minden erepen, és meg is vesznek mindent. Ami régen irigyelt teljesítmény volt, az mára már árucikk lett.

De akkor mi marad meg elérhetetlen, irigyelt, áhított célnak ha mindent eladunk és megveszünk...?

Everything is for sale...

Today I have bought a Battle Hero medal. Why did I do that, for I have four already, three of which I have earned with good, earnest fighting, and the fourth by sheer luck? How much it worts to get a Battle Hero medal in a region swap...? I could count it in gold but what would be the point of it? Aside for a few lucky ones, BH medals cost a lot, and nobody craves them for the income of 5 golds. Then for what? For the prestige? For after a week nobody will remember how much the so-called hero hit for that particvular medal; was it a truly heroic 20 k or just a meager 300? Nobody... the medals will be there on the profile, their owner can be proud of them and show them to all...

And it is the same with the RW-s bought, auctioned medals, for I know well, a lot of us were only missing that one and we spent our gold to get it, to acieve it, to have the full medal-line... and also the once so unreachable-looking Media Mogul medals, they are not unattainable any more - there are a number of groups, organisations that for a fee get you a few hundred subscribers to achieve that meadl too. We can all be a congress member somewhere in the New World, it is not hard to buy a few votes and seek out a nice, little region somewhere. If a few new small countries get implemented, even the President medals will be similar to it...

So, everything is for sale and people buy everything that is on offer. I bought one medal too, because I had money for it, because I wanted to get the feel of it, and because why not... and no, I don't hold it a worthy medal at all. It is not a Hero medal, the achievement has nothing to do with fighting and heroics, this one is in the category of 'be ready, get enough weapons, it is your turn now, go and donate the price her'. Whomever have enough money can buy even a dozen too of this medal. I don't even feel envious, this is seriously devaluating the medal in my eyes... that you can buy it like you buy some carrots on the market... give me a half-dozen, please, from that nice ones, the german ones!

So... everything is for sale now in this New Worldand people buy everything too. What used o be an achievement, envied and coveted is now a comodity only...

But what will we crave for and fight for if everything can be bought?

What will remain as attainable goals...?
