SUMMARY

This article will seek to lay out the current situation with regards to Pakistan, and the ramifications of a the emergence of a free agent Super Power. This article assumes that for at least the short term, Pakistan will continue to gather new participants to help wage its campaigns.

WAR WITH THE UNITED STATES

The fearful irony of the above title is that the Second Holy Empire of Pakistan was founded by former US Citizens, including a two term President of the United States. This however, has not stopped the current US President, Colin Lantrip, of pursuing a policy of belligerent aggression against the nascent Pakistani Empire. The stated goals of the current US Administration is the seizure of Karnataka, which has only recently been captured by the Pakistanis. While this is the obvious explanation for the current US actions, the cynic in me cannot believe raw resources (something the US already has in abundance) is the actual motivation. It is patently obvious that Lantrip is taking his order from the US Military JCS, which is the true power behind the throne in the United States. (Yes folks, the United States IS a Military Dictatorship).

The US Military is famous for its long term planning, and utter hatred of wasted resources and rogue variables. Pakistan represents an unholy merging of the two. Many newly minted Paki’s are former high ranking Americans, including senior politicians and military commanders. Pakistan represents an enormous strength and skill drain on the United States. This is a major loss of human resources for the US, and by extension its military. What further enrages the JCS though, is the fact that Pakistan seems perfectly content to forge allies with whomever the please, including numerous Phoenix countries. They have also drawn in many Serbians and Brazilians to the ranks of Dio’s warriors. These facts make Pakistan an almost overnight risk to US preeminence in the Asian theater, and a major force for upending the status quo (another thing the JCS hates). The result has thus been very predictable. The United States is going to war with Pakistan.

The opening salvo’s have been a flurry of resistance wars against Pakistan in occupied India. Its clear the US is hoping to try and make a bridge of Indian territory to Karnataka, and thus preclude the enormous cost of declaring war on Pakistan proper. With so many other fights the US is involved in, an all out battle with the Holy Empire will be an enormous distraction of US resources at a time when EDEN is making a push to wipe out Phoenix. Making the bridge without declaring war however, will prove to be an enormous challenge due to the fact that the Pakistan/India war was never closed. Pakistan never seized all of India’s territory, so any effort to make a bridge to Karnataka can be sabotaged by a Pakistani attack on the newly liberated Indian regions. For Pakistan’s part, the government seems content to let the United States flail around the sub continent, and not do the Americans the favor of paying for the war declaration themselves. This is not say that the war will not come in the end. Once Pakistan’s situation has been stabilized, the actions of the US with regards to India have all but assured that the American colonies in China will be the number 1 target of Pakistan’s expansion.

PAKISTANS MILITARY CAPABILITY

Triumphant Paki Soldiers hold a victory parade in Islamabad

Despite Pakistan’s enormous expansion of territory, the military capabilities of the new Empire remain in their infancy. Much of the strength is drawn from high ranked citizens using their own sources of funding, and it will take some time for Pakistan to organize them all into a coherent military force. Forming the core of the Pakistani military is the PAF (Pakistan Armed Forces) and an elite unit known as “Dio’s Fist”. These are legacy organizations from the first empire that survived in small numbers through Pakistan’s dark ages. Recently, a large percentage of the American S.E.E.S Militia membership have taken up residence within Pakistan, and round out the majority of the organized military capacity of the Empire.

What will aid the new Pakistani military is the large number of former military commanders from the US, who bring with them a great deal of experience with forming world class national armed forces. Given enough time and sufficient motivation on the part of the individuals immigrating to Pakistan, the Pakistani military may soon become a serious force to be reckoned with. This is probably yet another reason the United States is keen to throttle the Second Empire in the cradle.

PAKISTAN’s ECONOMIC CAPABILITY

Working for the good of Pakistan has always been a key component of its past successes

Economically, Pakistan is still very weak. Time will be required to absorb the Indian high resource regions and the large numbers of highly skilled immigrants. In the interim, Pakistan has been relying on Max McFarland 2 providing large infusions of his Gold from his seemingly infinite horde (This was the guy who built all of America’s hospitals for free). While useful, Pakistan cannot hope to rely on Max’s personal supply indefinitely, especially since war with the United States has already begun (despite the lack of a declaration). The US is a major world power, with a world class economic engine. In order to fight this, Pakistan too must build up its economic might, and do so quickly.

The rapid increase in Pakistan’s population has already garnered considerable interest from foreign investors, who see the potential for getting in on a nascent war market early, and thus make considerable profits. The Pakistani Government has also been assisting in purchasing export licenses for interested companies. The major concern amongst the worlds industry though, is whether or not Pakistan has long term momentum, or if this is just a flash in the pan. It can takes months to make up the 20 gold needed to export. They will need the assurance that Pakistan as a power is here to stay, and that its Government may not alter its currently liberal approach to import taxation.

The final issue for Pakistan is the development of a native industrial base to offset what is lacking from abroad. At the moment, it remains small, with almost no high quality weapons production, and minimal production of food, low quality weapons and moving tickets. This is slowly starting to change, but will be dependent on new Pakistani’s willingness to invest in Pakistan, and more importantly, to join the labor market.

WHAT WILL THE FUTURE BRING?

Which brings us back to the question, what does Pakistan’s rise mean for the world? The stated policy of its Government is to be non-aligned. This policy was ingrained in Pakistan’s declaration of war on India. The question was asked, who had the right to Karnataka’s wealth. Was it EDEN or was it Phoenix? The answer is, neither. It belongs to PAKISTAN. What future this policy will hold for Pakistan is dependent on three important factors.

1. Current citizens will not lose interest in forming a Second Pakistani Empire.
2. The efforts of Pakistan will gain more followers of Dio.
3. The United States will fail in its efforts to drive Pakistan back to its original borders.

If these three criteria are met, the New World could be in for a major shake up. The obvious immediate loser under this circumstances would be the Alliance currently on top, and that would be EDEN. As Pakistan’s first war is being waged with an EDEN aligned nation, it is inevitable the target of Pakistan’s next expansion wave will be China. Incidentally, China was once part of the Pakistani empire, so there is an additional historical drive for moving in this direction. The other issue, would be Pakistan’s religious hatred of Sweden, another EDEN power.
