Welcome to the newest issue of the Mobile infantry’s newest phenomenon; The MI spotlight!

Mobile Infantry Spotlight

Torman Capek

Torman Capek is one of the very original MI members. He is a student of Electromagnetic engineering, with a focus on renewable energy. Before returning to school Torman worked as a Science Adviser, mostly working on computers, but would sometimes work on hovercraft. Freshly married, there will be a one-month anniversary coming up for the Capeks. Having had his 3 year anniversary with the Mobile Infantry last month, he’s well versed in dedication. Enough with the introductions, let’s get to the good stuff!

Q: What is your role in the Mobile Infantry, and what does it require you to do?

A: Job title as far as I know is quartermaster, which means I send nourishing tanks and deadly meals to the masses of the MI.

Q: Having had such a long career in the MI, what all have you done?

A: most of the first year I was a happy grunt, for 9 months or so. I’ve been on IRC since 1997, so it wasn’t hard to just add eRep in. Eventually GreggyUT promoted me to Sergeant of Bravo 8 from Bravo 2. Around the time of V2 I became the Lieutenant of Charlie 5. Between the mass depletion in numbers from people quitting in the new version and decreased activity on my part due to computer issues, I stepped down and became a private in Charlie 1, Charlie 5 was dissolved then. I was once again a contented grunt for a while. Eventually I built a new computer, so I became active again, and took leadership of Alpha 3 when they revived it. A while into that, I moved back to Cincinnati and went back to school, so I stepped down to private again. I was thinking about joining a militia, or wandering the world at the time, just for a change of pace. A few days later Heather Fuchs asked if I wanted to be a QM, was about a year ago, now that I think about it.

Q: That is a very impressive career; do you believe there is a certain person in all that who influenced you greatly?

A: Probably Joshua Norton, he was PCO of B2 for most of my time there. He helped me adjust and fit into the structure of the MI.

Q: How do you feel about QMing? Do you find it easy? How did the dissolution of orgs change the job?

A: it requires enough attention to keep me engaged, I wouldn´t say it’s hard though. It was interesting negotiating the end of orgs. Historically, each QM had an org to hold the supplies as they were to be sent out. Now we use our personal storage, which means we have to keep track of which supplies are MI and which are ours, since I produce the same quality levels as the MI for both food and weapons, I do have to pay close attention.

Q: The life of a QM seems interesting, but I’m also interested in what kind of pie is your favorite?

A: I´ll go with chocolate angel pie, angels are delicious. And the pie is fun to make.

That was the QM crew’s Torman Capek! Thanks for reading the newest issue!

In our last issue we left you wondering who the new PO is yet again. But now you find out!

First, these are the votes:

1.) Sojirou: 38.1%
2.) Teresa of the Faint Smile: 19.1%
3.) Kitmen: 14.3%
4.) Braden Tyrel Trambly: 9.5% --- BBTrambly has sense left to RL Navy boot camp and will not return for a couple months.
5.) BMai: 4.8%
6.) Other: 14.3%

That’s a pretty big lead for Soji! Is it accurate? Were you all correct?

Drum roll, please!

Nope! The mystery PO is I, Kitmen! And the majority of those votes came from those who already knew (interviewees):

Thank you all for guessing, better luck next time! That’s all for this issue, you are all dismissed!

If your strength is at least 500 and your battlefield rank is Lieutenant or higher (or you can do at least 85 influence per fight barehanded) ...and if you like pie as much as we do, you too could be a member of the Mobile Infantry!!!

Not strong enough for the MI yet or have no experience with a military group?
Then join the eUS Training Corps!
