Message from the Minister of Defence - eIreland Peace Treaty with eUK *Updated*

Day 1,300, 12:52 Published in Ireland Canada by Vexing Chaos

Soldiers, citizens, and people of eIreland, I Chance Harrison have bitter news to give and perhaps welcome news to some. As your MoD for over a month now and into my second term I have done my best to do my sworn duty to help us compete on the battlefield and defend our land against our rival and sworn enemy the eUK and rid us of their tyranny. Many battles were won and lost and many a man lost sleep and wealth. Our goal of a whole, free and "united" Ireland is and will always be our ultimate goal.

Today (Day 1,300) our Country President Irasian has decided to accept a proposal by the eUK which affords an end to our long conflict. Just over five hours ago, an emergency meeting was held with the military leaders/representatives of the IA, Havoc, Labour's Army, Libertad and Libertad (IRE) to get their blessing before acceptance. *Updated Day 1,301 - Havoc was not a party to this discussion*

The terms are for eIreland to cede possession of Shannon, Ireland for a brief term and that eUK would sign a peace treaty with eIreland bringing an end to our current stalemate. All members of the Dail were not present henceforth a vote was not cast. I can say I will back the CP in his decision and will not look for impeachment since the Dail was not appropriately consulted as he was doing what was in the best interest of our eNation.

There is a current battle in Shannon and all citizens and Soldiers are encouraged not to fight as once it ends eUK shall propose a peace treaty.

Not all of us agree to give up something that is rightfully ours but the possession is temporary and a respite is much needed. I wish to personally thank all those who have fought so hard against a much bigger aggressor and foe. I have personally witnessed many brave and heroic feats from many MUs and allies alike as well as among our own citizens and Soldiers.

eIreland may be small in size and population but our hearts and allies are much bigger and our cause is a just one. Our attention and efforts must now be focused on supporting our allies in eCanada and eFrance and supporting the rest of EDEN.

I look forward to seeing you all on the battlefield again shortly.

Hail Ireland!

Sincerely yours,

eIreland Minister of Defence

Always in the fight!
