Merry Christmas to all

On behalf of New Era we wish you a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. No matter what your citizenship, no matter what your political persuasion we offer you the most sincerest seasons greetings. Why now when there is still 9 days left until the big day? Well today our CP Big Ant has announced we will soon have a cross party peace conference, which will hopefully end tensions in the eUK. Also the 25th of December is not just Christmas...it is Congress elections day. So around the 23rd onwards we will see the usual party articles, some will be voted up and some propped up by brought votes. So why not start the festive cheer now?

That said, we hope your Holidays are jolly filled with lifelong pleasant memories along with that of your family and friends.

To get into the festive spirit New Era are passing along a few links to help you get into the Christmas spirit. First link is the timeless classic - It's a wonderful life starring the late great James Stewart. The link is the full recent colourised version which is from You-tube. We know you will enjoy this and it is rated amongst the greatest Christmas films. The story concerns a very unselfish man who sacrifices his lifes dreams for the small community he lives in. It's a story of hope from the pits of despair and well worthy of its cult seasonal status.

The second link, again a full movie version from You-tube is the Charles Dickens classic - A Christmas Carol This is the 1984 version of the miser who is visited by three spirits in an effort to redeem his penny pinching ways. Starring George C. Scott it was filmed in the UK and this is one of the best versions of the classic tale ever made and can compare to the legendary 'Scrooge' which starred Alistair Sim. Very worthwhile way to spend 90 minutes of your time at Christmas.

Finally a double link. For those of you with children or if, like myself, you are a child at heart...then what better than the animated Christmas classic - The Snowman a little gem that is worthy of any TV schedule at Christmas. I am sure you are all aware of the story? For those of you not, well it is about a boy who builds a snowman and it comes to life.

Another Raymond Briggs animated festive favourite is Father Christmas which tells the tale of father Christmas and what he does the other 364 days of the year. If you have any children they will love it.

Anyway, again we wish you all a Merry Christmas and leave you with a final thought. If you have any old or unwanted Christmas gifts or toys why not consider donating them to your local charity shop or good cause? Whilst many of us take for granted the simple pleasures many are not as lucky as us. Spread Christmas cheer and help those in need.

Also spare a thought to those poor families in Connecticut, USA.
