We may have been taken over by a group of tyrannous oppressors but remember, in keeping with the Christmas spirit, a child was born in a land under the grip of unwanted rule and cruel client kings. He seemed to do well out of it (depending on your viewpoint) and provided inspiration for the world.

There may be tough times to cope with, but remember the festive spirit. So have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Yule or just a simple Happy New Year and look ahead, as 'the future is what you make it' - Dr Emmett Brown.
