This song is about the heroic and gallantry who distinguish themselves through conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty of a warrior. Hang Tuah was a legendary Malay warrior and from the animation above you can see historical culture in Malaysia. The singer of this song is M Nasir and he acted as Hang Tuah in Puteri Gunung Ledang movie.

Good Job! The fact that translating this song is quite difficult since it is written in a poetic format and uses proverbs shows that you are keen on doing the best.

Just to clarify certain sentences, "alang-alang menyeluk pekasam, biar sampai ke pangkal lengan" is a malay proverb meaning when you do something do it with all your heart or do it until it is complete. Literal translation would be if you are going to dip your hand into a container of pickles, might as well dip in your whole arm.

This proverb came from the pekasam which means preserved food or pickled food. Pickled food was traditionally made in a tempayan (earthen jar the height of an adults waist). The best pickled food would usually be at the bottom. Therefore if you want the best, you will need to go all the way.
