Memories of Korea: Part 3

The third part of this series is later than I'd wanted due to a variety of reasons but here it is now. This interview was with JaFe who during his time in eSouth Korea served six congressional terms, twice as a Minister of Health and was a member of Alfagrem's then military group the Narwhals. JaFe has since leaving this nation served multiple terms as eAustria's Minister of Finance and served as it's president once.

Why did you first come to eSouth Korea?

After another ePoland-wipe in eGermany and a small babyboom, where a lot of strange trolls came up, it felt right to leave the starting country after 3 months of eRepublik. I was looking for another place and checked out many small countries I could go my way and grow. I dunno why exactly I had chosen eSouth Korea, I was more looking for a small country, in what I could help the community and become more involved in eRepublik.

What is your best memory of eSouth Korea?

My best memory of eSouth Korea is the nice small community I met here in the beginning and of course that I met Alfagrem. The community was a really nice small place to lurk around and having a lot of fun till things changed… Alfagrem became a daddy, a mentor, a friend to me and with Herr Seidel (R.I.P.) and Kukki (R.I.P.) we formed the mighty Narwhals and had a lot of fun.

What is your worst memory of eSouth Korea?

Well the worst memory was probably the dictatorship by Grease. Pushed up in the CP position by being a native South Korean, we all shared high expectations in his candidacy. After a good month it was going down continuously. Decreasing communication, decreasing of involving the foreign players in the eSouth Korean community. eSouth Korea became a deadlock for me and that was the point I was leaving after 8 months. Even I wasn’t a friend of Clopoyaur, I have to say, his work was even more constructive than Grease work was. Even if eSouth Koreans feel that they are suffering under the lead of Clopoyaur, I know it could get worse.

Which three people were the most important in your time here?

Well to sum it up: Alfagrem, Herr Seidel and Kukki – eDaddy, mentor, narwhals, friends. Gave me more experience and fun in eRepublik like anyone else here and I am really proud, I ever met Alfagrem and the narwhals. Messing with eJapan and doing awesome squad attacks was pure epicness.

Yonai Keiko - The holy princess of Jeju, always calm always open-minded, so a bit like an oasis of peace and silence. I really enjoyed it.

Veritas Causidicus – For being a good friend, also a very calm friend with an high political intellect. Was a nice time to chat all the night about political issues and stuff in eSouth Korea. Also he trusted me at his presidential term, so I could get a position as an advisor. So I was probably the nanny for anything and was able to gain a lot of experience from that, what helped me a lot of my further political career after eSouth Korea.

Do you ever plan on returning to eSouth Korea?

I dropped a tear after my hard leaving, but it felt right and I never rued it. After 1-2 weeks travelling around I thought about returning, but after Alfagrem and Seidel left to eNZ and Kukki edied, there was no real home left in eSouth Korea. So I joined other places, met other people and settled down in eAustria after that and that ecountry really caught me. Was thinking abozt leaving shortly and moved on there too, but returned crying after 2 days 😃
Dunno, but small countries can easily grab my attention, so as long as eKenya doesn’t exist, I will stay involved in small countries (dunno if eAustria is my last “ehome”) and help them to stay free, but a return to eSouth Korea isn’t an option for me. I don’t want to wash away the last good memories I have of eSouth Korea and leave the place for new motivated people. I done my work there, mission completed.

I wish to thank JaFe for his response and wish him all the best in his future endeavorers. Assuming no problems I shall publish another interview with a citizen who is known for his cultural contributions and parody skills rather than his military prowess, Allen Wells.
