Join the new world

Greetings Dear Reader,

Being level 17 now, it is long overdue that I publish a newspaper. I won't bore you with the details, but suffice to say that I hadn't believed I have any better analysis of the goings on of the game than a great many others. I still don't.

But, I do have something that is unique. I see the game with the fresh eyes of a newcomer. While this makes me prone to off-the-mark judgments, it does free me of the shackles that familiarity brings. In my some 80 days in this New World, I have been afforded many privileges that, at my tender age, most scarcely dream of and have managed to rub elbows of some very heavy hitting players. These include outgoing President Chocolate McSkittles, former President Harrison Richardson (who has twice endorsed me for President, though I've never run) and World War III legend Emerick and a great many others.

How have I managed such name-dropping? I signed up and got active on the eUS Forum!

If you're new, give me a moment to emphasize that the eUS Forums are the place to be if you want to get involved and learn the game, and where a wide array of the who's-who of the eUS go to talk shop. I realize this can be daunting; the conversations can be heated and it can get less than civil at times. But we generally don't make a habit of ripping new people to pieces and you do get some level of respect for simply showing up and having the moxie to make yourself heard. And it's all brought to you by none other than Killing Time.

Which, in a round-about way, brings me to my point:
Killing Time and Colin Lantrip for POTUS/VP!!!

I'm not going to get into his platform and all the great reasons you should give this team your vote, since you can read all about it here and here. Maybe you already have.

Mine is a late endorsement, and possibly irrelevant, given my newbishness and grand total of zero current subscribers. But I feel obligated to raise these great players above the pack and recognize them for the great eAmericans they are.

My support may seem obvious, given our matching party affiliations, but this is deceptive. You may remember he ran during the last election cycle, at which time I loudly opposed him on what I later discovered were his own forums, for his position on Karnataka. I was not mocked for this, though I perhaps might have chosen some of my words better. And, while I still may not agree, his reasoning provided me with much deeper insight into the situation and the point is entirely irrelevant now. Killing Time has already done more for the eUS than many who run against him and his character assures me that he will make a fine President.

However, the Presidency, like the eUS, is more than just the President. It is a collection of hard-working, dedicated individuals working towards a greater purpose. Understanding this, Killing Time and Colin Lantrip have assembled a cabinet of such caliber that the election would be over if I went into any length about these fantastic and dedicated individuals. These appointments include two of my absolute favorite players; St. Krems, as National Security Advisor, and Alexander Hammilton as Chief of Staff (who still needs to run for POTUS next time. I'm not letting up on that, Hammie). These two, along with many others, are some of the most brilliant players in the game who's names you should be familiar with and if you aren't... well, you should get to work on that.

It seems I've been prattling on for some time now and I've yet to include any of those funny drawings or pictures of half-naked chicks that are so popular.
