Meet a Returning Brother

Day 1,919, 23:54 Published in USA USA by seeker1

I was happy to run into Jmarsh98, an Airborne brother who recently returned to the force after an absence. He was kind enough to answer a few questions.

1. Welcome back to the Airborne Jmarsh98. It's good to have a brother back. Why did you leave? Why did you choose to return to the Airborne when there are so many MUs to choose from?

Left shortly after the introduction of the Q7 weapon and the split into 4 divisions. The 4 division split really made it hard to compete against other people in div 4 for BH medals unless you were willing to spend lots of gold to upgrade your strength.

The introduction of the Q7 weapon just helped cement my idea that all the admins wanted was for everybody to buy gold, new 7 weapons were priced well over $100.00, and the ability to get a Q7 factory just didn't seem possible unless you spent gold, I didn't want to do that and just felt that those who play without buying gold are at a disadvantage.

2. At the risk of getting the same answer, I wonder if there is anything you find in the Airborne you can't find in other MUs?

Figured I would answer the last part of question 1 and question 2 here together. When I left the game I was in a different MU then Airborne, but when I came back I looked around at other MU's and decided I would come back to AB some of the old guys are still there and committed to the same cause.

Not sure how to answer this part without upsetting those who currently run the country but the fact that the eUSMilitary has stayed true to alliances formed years ago and have not teamed up with former enemies who have never supported the eUSA such as Greece and Croatia have in the past. I'm sure there will be much disagreement over that statement but in my mind it is true.

3. Do you have any goals you hope to achieve during your time in the Airborne?

Not really but I would like to see a way for the present government and the eUSMil to begin respecting each other and stand united.

4. Can you describe any experience in your time with the Airborne that especially stands out as fun, interesting, or unusual?

Not really. I just like AB. The people in Airborne are committed and work hard to support the JCS. I know some of the other MU's offer commune work but so does AB and that is a great way to go. There is no way you can work for an employer and make as much money as you do working in the commune and taking weapons/food as payment.

Airborne as well as the rest of the units have a good irc presence and it is generally a lot of fun to interact with the soldiers of the other units in the JCS channel and then work in unison to fight battles as directed by the JCS.

Guess it might help if I explained why I even came back. When I left the game I gave away everything, gold, companies were sold or liquidated and when I stopped logging in I had like 2 USD and no gold.

I would check in every once in awhile to see what was going on maybe read an article or two but never fought worked or trained. Then one day I went to check my account and there was like 25 gold in the account, no idea where it came from and a bunch of new missions so here I am. I am way behind in strength for a div 4 player who has played actively for over 3 years and since I only train @ 15 strength daily it will take me forever to catch up so I just plan on fighting where told to the best of my ability.

Thank you jmarsh98 for your thoughts. And welcome back!
