I've received some more help, but it's not enough to reach goal, even after 30+ hours... do not hesitate to send moving tickets or cash, it WILL go to people in need. I have serviced every request so far, but the reaction to the French press article, and the replies to direct contact, will be pouring in today. I've got only 10 tickets left and no gold. Aug 15 update at 01:20... progress!



My name is Buck Roger, and I am a citizen of Greece in Central Greece. I have over the past week handed out over 250 tickets to over 125 citizens of the New World who had pledged to move from conquered territories of Canada, the USA, and Spain and live in Greece, Central Greece. It started in response to a single forum post by then British Columbia resident Dan Senger asking for help, and the effort just snowballed from there. Most of them are now here already, and some of them have been naturalized as Greek citizens.

That in itself seemed impossible. But I have hit a wall. I have simply run out of cash, gold, and moving tickets out of which to help more potential immigrants to Greece. I have a waiting list, which is growing, with over 20 names of people who have asked to be evacuated from Asturias. Without your help, they may continue to live in France.

So far I have spent a bit over 37.5 gold and have received 2.3 gold... the 0.3 gold being in FRF. I am asking the people of Greece, including natives and immigrants, as well as wishers-well from around the globe to match what I have already put in. As they do so, I will be able to continue to hand out tickets until over 500 tickets come into the hands of over 250 immigrant hopefuls.



The goal is 37.5 gold, and we started at 2.3 gold. At 01:20 on Aug 25 I had received 30.65 gold in donations of gold, moving tickets, and currency. Just a few more donations to go! Donations are accepted in these forms:

Gold - well, it's gold.
Moving tickets - valued at 0.15 gold each - if my inventory is full, send me a message, and I can tell you where to send two of them.
GRD - for the purposes of this fundraiser, I will count GRD as 62.5 GRD to the gold, independent of what the market is at that day. That's 0.016 gold each.
FRF - many immigrants will have a little bit of this currency, and every bit helps. It will be counted as 0.02 gold each (50 FRF to the gold).
ESP, CAD, USD, and other - it will be sold on the monetary market and valued at whatever happens to be received for it.

I'm not demanding a lot of anyone. Small, discrete donations from a few dozen people will make this drive work. If you are an immigrant, whether you were assisted in reaching Greece or not, consider kicking back two tickets so as to help others. Also consider putting unneeded denominations of currency into the pile. If you are at work in Greece, a day's pay would go a long way. For anyone, as little as 0.3 gold makes a difference to one person; 3 gold would help ten.

Why does Greece need immigrants? Why do this? Starting with the second question, hundreds of people at a time are being caught behind enemy lines with no easy way out and often no sense of where to go from there. There's a real risk of not only losing that citizen to the allied countries, but of losing that citizen to the New World itself due to frustration. As to Greece? Greece has experienced a lot of growth recently, but it still has plenty of job openings, and Greece could definitely use any edge it could get to defend her regions. Immigrants to Central Greece, along with newborns, have raised the population of Central Greece by about 500 citizens in the past week... a growth factor of about 50%.

How will my money / tickets be used? Not only do I promise to use these tickets and money only for the indicated purpose, I make an additional promise for the peace of mind of all donating. If the recipient of the tickets does not move to Greece, I will pay for the cost of those tickets out of my own pocket. Every single one of the 250 tickets being paid for by other's donations will go to someone who becomes an immigrant within Greece, so that a full 125 people are in Greece thanks to the donations received.
