Manifestum est Magni [Duke 4 CP]

Day 2,232, 22:17 Published in South Africa South Africa by Marmaduke IV

Welcome friends! Today I present to you that platform upon which I am running. The platform which shall awaken the sleeping hearts in this nation who shall rise up and become erect. Together we will stand together, too hard to topple, our girth grander than anything the southern hemisphere has seen since Ajay Bruno.

Foreign Affairs:
A strong foreign affairs department stands at the head of every great government. In addition to verbal alliances, we must put these agreements on paper in the form of MPPs. Our lack of pacts has brought great shame on us. Even country much weaker and less prone to attack have more contracts signed!

Congress, I'm looking to you to have an MPP ready to go and on my desk on my first day in office so that I can put it through to in game vote immediately.

However, we will not sacrifice our sovereignty for a little bit of temporary safety. I will not sign on to any MPP or any law for that matter that will have us aligning with a country that only wants to take advantage of us. eSouth Africa is a sovereign nation and we bow to no one.

Military:
Let's be honest: Military is a numbers game. No matter how many great soldiers we have, we are surrounded by countries that have much, much more citizens. As a country, our D4 is one of the greatest in the world. But our military branch, the eSAAF, is lagging far behind.

We must increase our cross-MU communications so that we can fight effectively when the need arises, while still respecting the independence of other MUs and their right to fight for gold.

Domestic Affairs:

So far, our programs to aid our soldiers in battle have proven ineffective. Rather than teaching our young troops how to train and strengthen themselves, we blindly hand them weapons, gold, etc... and let them run wild.

We need to continue our efforts in strength training, but increase our monitoring of this. Gold payments should be being used for training, not fighting. I don't think player loans are out of the picture. It is an interesting proposition, but as of yet congress has not come up with a workable bill.

Finance:
It is my view that trying to directly manipulate prices only leads to further instability in the marketplace.

Right now, we are seeing the results of basic supply and demand. The holidays and event have caused a very large increase in fighting, which leads to more weapons being purchased, lowering supply, increasing both demand and prices. The solution to this natural part of economics is not to manipulate the supply or prices. It is to simply let the market balance out naturally.

Prices are high everywhere. Normalization is coming. Be patient.

Security:
Once upon a time, a group of people came to eSA to find a new home. Rather than open arms, they were greeted by pointy sticks. Where all the wanted was to be accepted and treated fair, they were ostracized and cast out. The end result was that group rebelling and a member of that group eventually successfully PTO'ing this country, to the dismay of all.

History will repeat itself if we don't change our course of action soon.

Lazokrats are here and they are here to stay. Like the Macedonians before them, I believe that if we give them the chance to be a part of our community, they can eventually fit in and we call be one big happy family.

As president, I will reinstate full citizen rights, including forum access, to all members of the group known as the Lazokrats. This is not any form of immunity though. This is just what I would call a "fresh start".

All current Lazokrat eSA citizens will be given this fresh start. If they want to keep these rights, they must follow the rules of procedures that all other citizens are expected to follow. That means proper congressman decorum, following citizenship approval procedures, and respecting the rules and laws of Erepublik, which include the creation of multi accounts.

I hope that by the end of my term, we can all come to a greater understanding of eachother.

The following is my cabinet so far. It is subject to change. Applications for positions can be sent directly to me.
