Manifesto for the June Local Elections

Day 209, 10:24 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Alain Bates

Hello citizens of Leeds.

I, Alain Bates am running to retain my position as mayor at the upcoming local elections and I'd like to explain my plans for if I win the election and hope this will aid your decision in deciding who to vote for.

Firstly, I will continue my ongoing policy of providing regular gifts for all active Leeds citizens who have a wellness level below 75%. I have done my best to keep up with this over the past month, but with the new implementation of a spreadsheet system recording which citizens require gifts, I hope to be even more efficient in keeping the wellness of our region high.

Secondly, I will continue a Unity Party policy of no taxes. As all funds that mayors require can currently be obtained from the government, I will not tax any citizens of Leeds.

My next policy is that as I now have a clear record of who is living in Leeds, i will pm all new citizens and offer them advice on how to get started in the game and I will try to develop links with GMs so that every citizen of Leeds should have no problems finding employment in eRepublik.

I am also going to try and improve the community spirit of the citizens of Leeds by creating more discussion topics on the Leeds section of the eUk forums and I will invite all citizens of Leeds to join in and get to know each other better.

As part of the UK government's new mayoral grants scheme, I will also begin arranging competitions for the citizens of Leeds that will come with a cash prize. Hopefully, everyone will enjoy taking part in these and they'll be able to commence shortly after the election if I win. I will begin planning ideas for this now, but if anybody has any good suggestions of ideas for competitions, then feel free to pm me with them or post on the Leeds regional forum.

Finally, I will also continue to do my best with replying to all pms and questions that citizens of Leeds send me and will try to offer help wherever it is requested. Thank you for reading this and I hope that I will receive some of your votes in the upcoming local election.
