Edward "Ed" Warren Miney (September 7, 1926 - August 23, 2006) and Lorraine Rita Warren (January 31, 1927 - April 19, 2019) were investigators of paranormal phenomena and authors associated with outstanding haunting cases . Edward was a Navy veteran in World War II and a former police officer who became a self-taught, demonology expert, author and lecturer. His wife Lorraine claimed to be a clairvoyant and light trance medium who worked with her husband. [1]

In 1952, the Warrens founded the New England Society for Psychic Research, the oldest group of ghost hunting in New England. They wrote several books about the paranormal and their private investigations into various reports of paranormal activity. They claimed to have investigated more than 10,000 cases during his career. The Warrens were among the first investigators in the controversial The Amityville Horror. According to Warrens, N.E.S.P.R.
