Life after politics: Phase 1

Good evening eAustralia,

As many of you might of read in my last CP article, I have decided to take a step back for this year, but not completely away. While I know I could be doing a lot of different things with my free time now, I realise my spelling is crap, so that rules out writing a novel, my desire to help eAustralia remains, so I might as well follow that route.

So I would like to introduce you to Phase 1, of my plans for life after politics. That is trying to get the Tank Bank that Ilene Dover worked so hard on getting set up. This was a project that came up after Ilene brained storm some idea's to help increase the strength and community of eAustralia. We both tried to get up and running, via the government and privately, but alas, their was not much up take and also RL ended up getting in the way of it.

So know that I have plenty of time up my sleeve, I want to give it a final push to get it going. Yes, I know some of you out there have found it funny, my desire to try and get it off the ground, well I am not deterred by your laughter at wanting to help eAustralia, instead it will drive me to roll it out no matter what, as well as other plans.

Ilene's original idea can be found here... and basically I will be adopting most of it, as I believe it was well thought out concept. So credit where credit is due, Thank You Ilene and I hope I can get it working.

As you can see by the photo above, we want our eAustralians to be strong, we want you to be victories in the battlefield, not only by fighting tough, but fighting smart as well.

So, now the plans (As mentioned, a lot of this is still the same as Ilene's original concept):

The Bank of Rusty D (this org, don't worry it is not self promotion), will give you an interest free loan of gold to get your training grounds upgraded, or to afford a training contract and later we will be including energy center's. This Org/Program will let you borrow gold with an interest free loan *Conditions do apply*


How does it work? well.... basically like it was planned too... yep, she was onto a winner, so why would I mess with it.


First, we will require you to find a sponsor. This needs to be an eAustralian citizen. They should be someone who has a good standing in the eAustralia scene. Send them a PM and discuss it with them, because they are going to be the ones who get you started on to the road of full training centers.



Send a message to this Org (the same org that has published the paper).

I will check in everyday, to double check the inbox of the Org. I will ask some questions about you. This will include your citizen details, a screenshot upload of your current training grounds, who your sponsor is and some other questions. This will be done via a link to survey monkey website (The questions will be set up via survey monkey, so I can track the answers and double check IPs to ensure no multi's are trying to abuse the system).


I will also speak to your sponsor, and find out a limit they are prepared to back you for. Note to potential sponsors: you may be asked to provide up to this amount if your friend goes AWOL. Like the original plan, you will be allowed to borrow twice what your sponsor will back you for.

A example of this: Ilene Dover is sponsored by Rusty D for a maximum of 100 gold. Ilene could be sent up to 200 gold, but if she disappears before paying it back, Rusty might have to cover 100 gold of the loan.



How do you get your gold? Well, every game day you need to message this org. You will be forwarded 0.5 gold for each message. Every day. During the 2-day discounted upgrade windows or training contract windows (which normally roll around once a month) you will be sent 10 gold. It’s not possible to accept more than that amount in a day, unless you have the Tycoon pack active during this time, if so you will need to inform me of that.


This means that, if you’re active enough and message every single day, you can easily wind up with 30 gold (3 separate special days) plus 14 gold (0.5 gold per day for 28 days) for 44 gold a month. That’s more than enough to get your training grounds lifted out of the gutter, or to cover the worst part of a training contract. And later for your energy centers.



There are some limits though! Once you have enough gold to lift your training grounds to the next level (we know, because you sent us a screenshot) you will be cut off after the next discounted upgrade window. Unless… you send us a screenshot of your shiny new upgraded training ground of course!


This will be tweaked as time goes on, as I want to try and get everyone trained up, plus the adding of energy centers.
