Congressional Sign-Ups
Fellow Libs, it is that time again! Yes, Congressional races... those daunting races that suck the soul out of you. I threw up the form in yesterday's last PTO Report, but I figure that many of you didn't see that because it was rather late when I put it out, so I will explain again.
If you want to throw your hat into the ring for a specific state, fill out the form below. A few rules and reminders first:
1. You must be a LIB to fill out the form. If you are a non-Lib, but want to run under our ticket, you must contact me personally.
2. You must be registered on the new forums here: LIB Forums if you want to be considered for your state.
3. This is not first-come, first-serve. I will select the best candidate for each state.
4. Not everyone is going to get to run. That doesn't mean I don't want you to sign up. I will contact each Candidate personally by Thursday Evening.

Reminder!!! This Form will CLOSE Thursday afternoon at 6pm (EST)!!! All applicants after that time won't be considered.

PP Election News
Yesterday, as you all know, I became the Libertarian Party President! Thank you all for your votes and I will do my best and make you proud. Also, I want to thank the LIBs for helping out to ensure the Democrat PTO didn't happen. After I posted the article and Cujo Mayo shouted it from the rooftops, the Democratic (real) Candidate, Luke Peters, won the election! You guys did great and I'm sure the Democrats are very grateful for what you did.
The UIP avoided their PTO as well, but it appears the PTO attempt wasn't that serious. Also, all of PEACE's efforts within the eUS failed yesterday. They didn't attack us politically or militarily, so everyone should take note that PEACE is full of big words and false propaganda. This doesn't mean we shouldn't expect big things from them in the future though. Be vigilant and if you see any suspicious characters in the LIB party, let me know!

Coming Soon to a Lib Party Near You
Because I have officially won, I will be implementing some of the plans I have come up with for our party to thrive. All of these plans will revolve around the new forums, so if you aren't signed up there, I encourage you to do so here: LIB Forums. Here are some things to expect:
1. The Return of the Peace Corps.
-We now have 2 Libertarian Papers. This one, The Libertarian Ledger and also the original paper, The Libertarian Bulletin Please, SUBSCRIBE TO BOTH PAPERS! I've decided to use one paper as the "Official Paper" and one as the "Voice of the Libertarians" where articles and columns will be written by you, the LIBs! Get to the forums to find out more.
2. New Inter-Party Positions.
-I will be listing on the new forums, in a few days, the new positions that will be available in the party. You will need to apply for them. They will range from Security Officers, to Statisticians, to State Libertarian Representatives, to Recruiters, to Program Operators... I could go on. We are going to build the party to become a place to be involved.

I think you should make the Bulletin the voice of the PP, since the Bulletin has 6 months of LiB PP press releases. Also, a propaganda squad would help get the "voice of the people" paper rolling.
Already on it, Em. I want to use the Bulletin as the "Voice" of the party. The Ledger seems to be good at contacting the base group of active LIBS and official news is more important at the moment. The Bulletin has the history, like you said, and I think it would be a good place for the LIB voice.
As for the "propaganda squad", that is going to be the Peace Corps. I hate the word propaganda though... so they will be more of a PR type deal.

@Claire: That makes more sense. I was wondering why the word "peace" was even mentioned... and was going to suggest a different name for it instead... but press corps sounds fine.
btw, could we see the list of responses on the congressional sign-ups so we could try another state if it's already taken?
