LG's Declaration of candidacy for BEP Party President.

Hello folks.

There are a few reasons why I’ve decided to put my name forward once more for the top job at the BEP (apart from the fact that I was voted in as the Big Dog last month...)

Firstly a lot of the forum regulars hate us and I don't care. I've been around the block long enough to not give a damn about a lot of the flak the BEP gets from the more boring eUK regulars. If a less experienced PP gets hold of this party however, I think they may become overly besieged by the naysayers which will harm the party.

The fact is the BEP flies in the face of the people who spend all their time debating procedural forum legislation and I'm glad it does. The BEP is the only top 5 party that consistently challenges the status quo! A few people (who no doubt will now place their autographs below in an adult and considerate fashion) will inevitably slag us off for not treating this game as seriously as them. They are not our electorate and so I'm not bothered by their opinions.

Secondly the party needs to continue down the road we have been going. We have been gently creeping back up towards where we were before our "random death" in January. Back at the end of last year we had over 250 members and were closing in on being the 3rd largest party in the eUK. Under my leadership (the first time) we had gained 4th spot and recruited a number of high profile and dear friends to the Party: Sprucemagoo, Sir Botham, JackWest Jr (and his can of fish), Eadie & Blandman. Our push to becoming the kingmakers of eUK politics was halted abruptly by either foul means or an admin mistake.

Either way, it has set us back a few months.

Thirdly I am basically the best man for the job:

I have already served 3 congress terms for London – London is one the most competitive constituencies to contest and the number of votes that I have historically managed to gain from such names as Dillthedog, Uk’s Finest, Aelar....(him with the long name!), shows I have a high level of popular support in the regiona & nationally.

Additionally I have held a number of important regional & national positions and have been in the game for longer than most of the BEP's membership.

current MoHA Off-site Promotions UnderMinister - last year I was the only member of the eUK to successful contact our former lord & monarch Sir Stephen Fry & relay the news of his eCoronation. I am currently trying to work similar magic with HRH Jeremy I.

Finally and most importantly, I am the only BEP PP candidate with a clear and demonstrably successful strategy for the party's future.

This month, if elected, I intend to do the following:
1) Establish a Shadow Cabinet whose members will have authority to speak for the BEP on all relevant policy matters;
2) Implement the Congressional Strategy along the lines I have outlined on the BEP forum. As you are aware, last month's elections were deliberately written off as we regrouped from the party's deletion. This month however I am targetting at least 3 Congress seats for the party;
3) The continued growth of the party - I hope to end next month with the party membership back over the 200 mark;
4) Finally, and most importantly, I hope to continue my work in establishing the BEP as the party of the silent majority, the party that is not afraid to challenge the forum elite, the party of change and the party that truly represents Fun, Conflict & Community

Addendum: A PTO ATTEMPT IS UNDERWAY ON THE BEP - ALL BEP MEMBERS ARE ADVISED TO NOT TO VOTE FOR JOACHIM VON BREMEN - his candidacy is an attempt by the other parties to undermine the BEP and remove us as a threat to their comfortable position in the eUK. DO NOT VOTE FOR JOACHIM VON BREMEN
