Our community is dying... Yup, time to do something about it I think

Yeah this is when we need lots of units keeping fighters active in one they will just die off ! The best way is for the country to have a goal each month

This is a social game, having lots of people in different units just means people don't communicate and grow bored. Having a central MU where people can interact free of politics can only increase the social aspect of the game.

People have a central chat and that was IRC and that doesn't stop people leaving the game, some people like to set their own orders some like to be captains, you cant tell people how to play the game , the newspaper is for social entertainment and all we have is government articles the UK is more government than everything else.
So like many we will stay interdependent free from government.

What's IRC got to do with anything I said? Or the government? Or telling people how to play the game? Or people being captains?Can we not have a normal conversation. Where we discuss one thing.

I think having a central MU with the majority of the UK's population in it would increase the social aspect of the game and give people more incentive to play as we are fighting/playing the game together. What do you think?

Now this is where I bring in the use of IRC this is was still is a central point where people can interact in real time and this hasn't save people from leaving the game, now like I said before some people like to be captain sand set orders some like to chase medals, its freedom from government , the national unit is far free from politics as the commander is picked by the CP and it direction is chosen by the agenda by the government of the day just imagine if Big Ant came back and some how won an election then put the national unit agasint the dictator and took total control, this is why units like Royal Navy and Legion need to stay impartial.

At the end of the day its a government driven MU and anyone could be in charge depending on who wins elections.

Take an average member of Legion, that doesn't really post in the media. When do they get a chance to talk to a similar person in RN? I read most of the news and comment a fair bit but I've never spoken to over 90% of Legion. Whys that? Because your chat feed isn't available to me... It's about maximising the chances people have to interact. The majority of people in UK have never used IRC. it's outside the game, which involves effort to use. If most people were in the same MU they would have the chat feed and the in-game chat available to them.

+ how you can use "Legion need to stay impartial." as a argument against government control. It's a MU that controls a top 5 party. If you had your way and the majority of the UK joined Legion and whatever your party is called these days. You would essentially have an unelected MU commander controlling the UK. xD

Remember people vote for politicians not MU commanders.

Rory most members of unit dont even talk to their commander most people are just not int interested they want to log on do their daily order and go the people who want to make a scream and shout do so in the media which is pretty dead now anyway or use IRC the others don't care as much as others do this is simple fact and by naming something a national unit wont change that look how many people buy packs in the Uk not many for them it ok to be on long time others most have 500 energy do some kills and go they dont care to talk

It's about giving people the opportunity though. Also the bigger a MU is, the more active the chat feed is, making it more attractive to active people looking for a new MU.

Ok can you print screen the total chat as it a national mu and can you print screen both regiments and when they last fought please

Why? There is still only 40 odd people in there. There is no point engaging in a 'who's MU is better' game of top trumps. We're talking about the concept of a bigger MU that doesn't actually exist.

I'm not sure what your on about.

The point isn't more damage the point is coordination. You can also tell when you've lost the argument cause you revert back to your classic "how much damage has your mu done" argument.

In my opinion people find MUs and parties they feel comfortable in they don't want to be in a massive MU with people they feel they don't have anything in common with. The media is dead, in part, because of the bullying and trolling of a handful of people, why would most players want to join an MU and suffer the same abuse when they comment in the MU feed.

You claimed in the past that Nifty was set up as a place where a group of friends with shared interests could chat in the feed and have fun other MUs simply want to be able to continue to do the same.

Not eveyone has the same opinion as to what is funny / banter and what is bullying / trolling.

I didn't say you can't have fun on your feeds with your own my friends. I don't mind people not joining the NMU. I'm simply saying no one has been bullied on the feed. Which is a fact

I only have 17k strength and I still manage to have fun playing the game (I even got a BH last night)
