Leaving the USA

Day 728, 06:29 Published in USA USA by Jameson L. Tai

It was only a week ago when I left my office as Vice-Chief of Staff of the United States Army. Since then we’ve seen quite a bit of change, the departure of Indonesia, Hungary, and Russia from PEACE GC, EDEN/Brolliance advancements in Hungarian areas, such moves have made me rethink my role in this game and my effect I may hold in foreign policies.

My original intention was to see if I could get Hong Kong SAR, my real life birthplace, be a region in eRepublik. (See my original forum post here) Introducing Hong Kong as a new region may bring stability towards crucial sections of China. For a country as strong economically and have such a large population, it is a shock that we do not see a massive movement of Chinese baby booms. Some blame internet censorship, but mostly the idea of eRepublik is just not that well-advertised in the Chinese speaking areas.

Hong Kong in real life has served as an international economic marketplace for decades while under British rule, as it bordered with many neighboring countries and was a center of trade with the west. We can promote a very similar circumstance, and since Hong Kong ISPs were laid out by British private enterprises and are much more relaxed in regards to internet censorship, the idea of Hong Kong simply gobbled up may be contested as long as a decent number of our populous in Hong Kong registers for this game.

Think this is far-fetched? Think what I’m saying is unattainable? All I have to say is “Why not?” It is absolutely possible that opening this region will only benefit the community as a whole. Hong Kong has a strong background in the past a hundred years to have a decent English-speaking base while preserving its roots as a Chinese region.

As my personal views on this issue may conflict with the political and military agendas with the United States Government as well as my new military unit with the United States Marine Corps, I hereby resign my commission with the United States Marine Corps. I want to initiate a few plans to revitalize China, and if this is done right coordinated with a sizeable baby boom, the potential for China to become a major political power in the eWorld would be limitless.

So here I am, once again saying my goodbyes to my friends of the United States, hoping by starting over I may encourage a massive development of eChina – I hope I may expand my skills as well as broaden my personal horizons. I would like to thank everyone in the United States Army once again for their support and best wishes, I have been receiving non-stop O7s and I appreciate each and every one of them. I would also like to thank the United States Marine Corps, Lucius, Leroy, Harlot, Tula, Sukoidha, and others who have made my initial week with the USMC very memorable.
