Welcome, dear readers, to the inaugural edition of the Lap Dancers' Gazette, the Official News Source of the Liberty Advancement Party.
Actually, what you're looking at is the result of the first set of LAP Media Classes, with segments contributed by new (and new-ish) writers who seek to develop their media skills. The end game of this project is to prepare writers so they might take on higher level jobs like Media Officer at their MU's, or Press Director of a Cabinet level Department like Interior or Education or even the Media Dept.
Because this is a learning tool as much as it is the primary delivery system of all news LAP, the actual publication location and even the general appearance of the paper will change as it's passed around among the LAP Media students.
We're inviting you along for the ride, to observe and share the experience, to watch this group of fledgling writers develop their skills and become tomorrow's generation of better Editors.

Another round of Congressional elections are behind us and it is our pleasure to introduce six new LAP members of the 72nd eUSA Congress.
“Old Man” Custer leads the LAP Congressional contingent. "The modern era Congress is a 'trial by fire' for the new members. This can be the beginning of a great political career, or you can crash hard and burn.”
Then there’s Party VP TellurGrlThx and myself (Nesterus), a political noob withmore luck than sense high hopes.
Flashback1, Lothair Carlovingian and sixth Party'er ZeroCoolMKD round out the LAP Congressional roster.
LAP Party President Aramec tells us, “The future of American politics has never been brighter and the new talent we’re seeing has never been fresher. New Americans are learning faster and getting more involved in the political system, and will represent America in ways we haven’t seen in years.
Heads up, America, the future is here!”
Let's Play Hide and Seek!

LAP is proud to announce a new and fun event for new players, to raise interest and activity in our IRC channel. How do we plan to do this? We plan to give out a large amount of tanks for playing a simple game we call IRC Hide n Seek.
IRC Hide n Seek is closely related to the original game you would have played as a child, just the roles are changed around. One of our LAP leadership will hide in an IRC channel that is predetermined to be the answer to the riddle or question that we give you. Another one of our leadership will be in IRC channel #LAP giving out the said riddle, hint or question that will help you find the IRC channel where the other leadership member will be in. The first player to join the correct IRC channel named after the answer and say "Gotcha!" wins that round. The game goes by a point system. Top 5 players receive rewards.
Example:
Who is the President of the eUSA? (said in IRC channel #LAP)
Player joins IRC channel #NewAzazel
Gotcha!
Player wins the round (said in IRC channel #LAP)
Then the next round commences and repeats.
It'll make more sense when we're all there together and the game starts.
The Rules
1. All channels are set to be combined words as such #TheAnswer or #ThisIRCchannel
2. The game will run as many rounds as can be done in an hour and a half.
3. Cheaters will be disqualified immediately.
4. This will be open to all eUSA players
Rewards
1st receives 100 tanks
2nd receives 75 tanks
3rd receives 50 tanks
4th receives 25 tanks
5th receives 15 tanks
When? 12/07 @ 18:00 eRep time until 19:00
Where? in channel #LAP

The Liberty Advancement Party is all about new players. Our new players have a better chance of getting anywhere in the political game such as Congress or Party politics, or just learning and getting a chance to move on to better things.
A great example of this would be current LAP VP TellUrGrlThx. He started his political career just last month. He came to the Party with no experience in eRep politics. Then-Party President Irule777 was impressed with his IRC activity, his commitment and his progressive ideas, and put him in at #6 on the Congressional candidate list. After that, Irule recommended him for Deputy Secretary of Education. Imagine, a guy who had no experience in anything was given such an opportunity, landing a Deputy position in a top level Government Department! That is what LAP is to TellUrGrlThx. A party of "New Beginnings."
Right now, we need new beginnings. Our country is experiencing an exodus that is already being countered by DoE’s 2nd Apollo mission to search for intelligent life beyond eRep (the search has so far failed). But the Apollo program needs the help of people within the game to keep new players here. The LAP does just that. We take new players and nurture them to become legends. We are new, so it will take time, but that is true of any venture worth its lap dance. Expect to see great things come from this Party.
Congressmen, Precedents, Presidents, leaders of the future-- it doesn’t have to be anyone other than you!
