Lack of Housing
Chicco
How do people feel about the lack of houses in Austria? If more people owned houses, they could buy cheaper food. The import tax on houses is currently 99% even though there is basically no domestic production of houses. Maybe the import tax should be abolished?

I agree, but tax should be about 50%
If there is no local production, I don't see why the tax wouldn't be 1%. The meaning of the tax is to protect the market from foreign influence. In eAustria there is no housing market and therefore nothing to protect.
I agree with Hostilian. Houses are already quite unaffordable.
I have an org in Canada where houses are relatively cheap. If anyone wants one I can buy and donate it to them. Just PM me.
Why are there no Austrian housebuilders?

It'd be unfair on a hardworking businessman to expect donation of houses 'for free'. Is there scope for an (Austrian) import company in the game mechanics?
he is not giving houses away...
House is sold by a Donation system.
House owner donates a house to buyer - buyer donates Gold to seller.
🙂
Yeah, to be honest I was going to ask the recipient to give me the gold that I need to buy the house 🙂 However, I don't want to make any profit on this. I just think it would be good to have more houses in Austria.
I can also try to revive my Q2 house company. However, the problem is that housing companies need 20 workers to run efficiently, and I can't see myself recruiting that many workers in Austria! Also, wood is so expensive here.
I have a house company. Anybody interested in buying houses?
Q1 house to sell!!!
I have a Q4 home (from pre-V1 days) and am barely keeping Wellness from dropping by eating Q4 food every day.
Of course I am working in a Q4 company and training strength as well, but Q4 still feels too posh for me.
In the EUS at least I believe the lack of housing is due to the high tax. An opressive 99%
