Kiemar: President of the People

Day 438, 22:01 Published in Ireland Ireland by Kasius

For far too long, the world has looked at economic strength as a measurement of how well businesses are doing. How much money are businesses making? How many businesses does that guy own? How many business owners are in that nation's Congress?

Today, The Grail is going to push for something new: a break from the world's mold, and a step into an Ireland that sets an example for the world. Ireland has already made a lot of strong steps for economic change: change away from business-oriented economics and in to worker-oriented economics. State-run companies have been made to allow new workers a chance to learn the ropes and earn strong starting wages. Those companies have placed cheaper products onto the market to make things easier in the lives of those same new workers. The ultimate goal of government should always be to increase the welfare of its citizens. Benefiting businesses is not always, nor is it even usually, the best way to achieve this. The newest changes in government-based economics have been completely oriented on worker benefit, and for that, Ireland should be proud.

So let's not stop there. Why break from a working system? Why even slow down a working system? Let's expand this bad boy. Let's get it rolling on even stronger than it's been going.

The Grail is issuing its official presidential endorsement for the Irish elections. It is my belief that there is no better candidate for the Irish presidency than Kiemar. In the time I have come to know him, I have learned that he is a candidate for, above all else, workers. He does not run a business, and that is one reason he should take the presidency. Business leaders are not definitively corrupt, but workers cannot be surprised when business leaders make moves that benefit businesses instead of them.

Kiemar supports the expansion of our current state-run business setup. Nationalized businesses will allow the continuation of the high wages and low prices that have already begun to benefit new workers as well as train workers and control the prices of raw materials to create a more stable market.

Kiemar supports using gold for the funding of our government ministries so that we can increase the value of our currency not just by taking it off the market but by placing more gold into circulation. Strong actions like this will ensure that our currency deflates the way it needs to.

Kiemar supports increasing the size of our labor force by helping new citizens learn the ropes and stay interested, both through the use of state jobs, as already explained, and through the use of quick, simple guides that step workers through the mechanics of eRepublik.

There is no question that Kiemar supports workers, and in my mind, there is no question that he is the best choice for President.

Good luck to all of you, and happy voting, Ireland!
