Let's Go Another Round
Well, it's that time of month again... no, not that.. it's Congress election time.
Last month I asked you to Vote LAP and put The Old Man back in Congress, and you did. I was pretty active, engaged a number of Discussions and made a couple valid points here and there. I delivered on my promise to be an active Congressman.
Additionally, I resurrected the long-dead official Congress newspaper, The Speaker's Word-- delivering five weekly editions this past month. Players who want to know what's going on in Congress but don't want to sit on the forums and sift through the bullsh*t have found concise summations of every Discussion, Proposal and Vote your 71st Congress has had. Promised and delivered.
I can do it again. Sure, why not.. Vote Liberty Advancement Party on the 25th.
Team LAP: Media
Whether or not I'm in Congress this next month, I've committed to helping establish the Liberty Advancement Party as more than just a 5th Party placeholder, but a training ground for new players desirous of a future in politics.
My role is as leader and mentor of a Media Training Program, to prepare players for a job as Media Officer for their Party or Military Unit, or even Secretary of Media. Yes, it's been almost two weeks since the Party President election and we haven't gotten much past the planning stage of the program.. but I'm ready now. It's a long term project, so a slow start ain't gonna kill nobody.
My reputation is not as a popular guy, it's as a top writer-- over 1000 articles in eight newspapers in two countries. And it's not some kind of magic, it's a learned skill. It's persistence. It's commitment to excellence.
