Join the new world

Kevin Borlée has won the sports personality-trophy. He achieved this thanks to his bronze medal on the world championships athletics this summer on the 400m.

Altough he finished after Kirani James and Lashawn Merrit, Borlée won this award for the unique performance he did. This trophy can only be won once in a lifetime and doesn't only reward performances, but also the effort an athlete puts in for his sport.

Thanks to Borlée, interest in athletics in Belgium stays, after the gold medal from Hellebaut in Beijing and the bronze medal for the 4X100m team. Also he is an example for the youth, as his training intensity is very high, and tries to discover new training methods, like training in the USA.
