Just One Question

Day 1,566, 07:07 Published in USA USA by GLHalJordan

Greeting my fellow eAmericans.

Tomorrow is Election Day. Not just any old Election Day, though. Tomorrow we vote for someone to be President of this great nation. A leader we can look to. A leader we can count on. A leader who brings us pie. Who that leader will be is up to us - the eAmerican people.

I contacted each of the candidates and told them of my humble newspaper. I said that I understood they were busy but if they would allow me just one question, I would be satisfied. Just one question that may provide a unique insight into each of the candidates to help every eUS voter make a decision tomorrow. Every one of them was gracious enough to respond - to take time from their campaigning and their busy days to reply. For that, I am grateful.

The question I asked each candidate was this:

Since I am only asking one question, if our roles were reversed - what question would you ask, and why?

President Oblige, the incumbent and member of the Federalist Party answere😛

The question I would ask is, what qualities do you posses personally as a leader, that makes you more qualified than your competitor to be Country President?

The reason I would ask is because it's a question that encourages both personal introspection, and checks external awareness of the competition.

Chickensguys, the representative of the US Marijuana Party (USMJ), answere😛

I would ask What do you consider to be your most fundamental flaw as a person in RL and as a Candidate in Erep?

The reason I would ask a question like that is because it tells you a lot about the person. You will know off the bat if what they are telling is the truth or a line of Bull. It really shows character if you can get an answer based on truth.

Israel Stevens, the representative of the American Military Party (AMP) answere😛

Oh man, excellent questions, makes me do all the work 😉

Anyways, I would ask a simple question: Why? Being President is a huge commitment and many former Presidents have admitted that it was their most stressful/worst experience in eRepublik... so why do you want to run?

(Am I supposed to answer too? I guess I will...)
I'm am running for President because I see an opportunity to do better. For the country to do better as a whole. ONE cannot rise to challenge us, that has been proven the last 5 months or so. And in that time, we have allowed ourselves to slip slowly into lethargy and complacency. So, in their place, we must challenge ourselves. I aim to revitalize the nation, and to bring some passion and drive back to the Executive Office.

Thanks again to all the candidates who took time to answer my One Question. I hope this provides you, the eAmerican people with a little more insight to help you make your decision tomorrow.
