Today was the first day of testing v2. So you can be sure v2 is coming. Those pointing in the survey for more than 1 year were wrong. It is so much closer.
But the reason of writing this article is another one. There are so many options and if someone is imagining that he could go on maximizing everything, tanking, skill, profession or whatever he's dead wrong. You cannot cover everything with gold. Maybe a couple of days and you'll go bankrupt eRep or RL, your choice. So you should focus on economy OR damage OR skill but not all at the same time.
All the products have time of expiration. So you can use them many times. Just some food for mind for those with huge stocks now.
The battles are completely different, player vs player brings the strategy on a complete different level. It is not who's having more damage, but who's making it wiser. 75% of the attacked territory looks a lot now. If both involved countries make the same strategy mistakes and everything goes on brute force, the attacker should be so much powerful to occupy 75% of the defender territory. 75% to 25%. Looks like 3 millions to 1 million in actual damage. Almost all the huge battles in v1 were very close at the end, all the real battles Phoenix vs EDEN had a very close end, but still, in some battles the attacker won. In v2 won't work like that, if you cannot take advantage of your strategy maximizing whatever bonus you can bring (tanks over infantry, infantry over artillery, artillery over helicopters and helicopters over tanks) and sending the right troups where the enemy was deployed to fight, you don't have much chance.
So I'm expecting a very solid balance of powers. Only the wise ones would have a (small) chance to occupy some territory. My personal opinion: who wants to do some crazy stuff, do it now than later.
Take this like a personal opinion and make the best use from it.
I really believe v2 will be VERY exciting, just take the appropriate measures for it.

I wanted to test v2 😕
First of all this is extremly unfair to let some players test it while everybody else has very little info about V2 and a lot of cash will be lost or gained because of this.
About maximizing everything i guess the most important limit is time (one only has the 24h)and not gold.
Expiration date- no idea how it is for all products but from what i've seen in screenshots for weapons the durability is not about time but about (how many)uses.
For the battles i have no idea,what i found nuts was that a map was supposed to have 20x20 hexa-thingies and if a win means 75% of them plus the capital... it just doesn't make sense.
Not that all this is surprising,I'm sure the introduction of V2 will be very chaotic and it will take a while before it will be at least playable.

About the few people testing... It is unfair, I agree, but this is how it works. I personally don't want to see another huge use of exploits like it was being done in eRepublik back in 1 year and a half ago.

i wasn't saying we should all test it,what i am saying is that we should all have access to information and all the details,formulas and so on.In fact i don't get why the admins are keeping us in the dark,how does it help if we are completly unprepaired?The numbers might not be final just yet but that doesn't make it ok.

nothing is fixed and nobody has access at any formula. That's the purpose of testing, for the admin to find out the right answer. What I was writing was general stuff🙂

In my opinion you are absolutely....right!
Mind you, is gonna be a shit with a very nice wraping (i.e. interface) targeted at people interested in fancy look rather than use.
V2 has a whole new purpose: forcing people to pick up the cellular phones more often and pay real money for gold.
Most of us don't have conclusive info about the economical module so this is rather a shot in the dark:
1. No more diamonds = no more gifts. Wellness will be recovered via cinema tickets. But I don't see a cinema industry nor cinema tickets which makes me believe there
will be another whore (Lana type) ready to sell her soul for a cinema ticket.Cinema ticket = gold. You don't have gold? Send a SMS, send some real momey, get gold. Do your patriotic choir! Do not ask what the investors can do for you but what you can do for investors 🙂
2. No more wood. Stone is the main word. Wood industry will turn to stone industry and that would swing the game far from reality. Croatia and some other coutries have high resources of stone not Canada or USA. What's gonna happen? Make Croatia high stone resource? It seem fair but not that fair to place Canada equal to Croatia in stone resources. Downgrade Canada to medium resource? Is not fair for all the people who have invested good money in wood industry. But investors don't give a flying f**k about fair or not fair. They want your money.
I predict that in 6 months from V2 launch, erepublik will be a dying game.

The war module looks way too complicated for a browser-based game. I don't understand why they choose this path. Making conquest very hard is again a strange decision. This was the driving force behind gameplay til now.
@Maurits, conquest very hard = more fights. The more you fight the more you're eager to win. The more you wanna win the more you will fight. More fights = less wellness. Less wellness = more wellness boxes sold. For gold. You don't have gold, you buy.
Am I becoming paranoid or everything in the future of this game boils down to real money?
also a thought might be that some military organizations would have to choose what type of combat skill their soldier have, both because it will be hard to produce in their companies all types of weapons and because the coordination lvl between army forces has to be other.
maybe the big army corps with lets say 100-200 members can adapt easily but for those with lower <75 i don't see an easy path.
it won't be like now u get order to strike @ t15 battle with all u got. it will be a complex scenario at lest if u need to win.

I wasn't testing V2, but according to v1 there is a starting wall, for example in Lioning it was like 1,6kk so the attacker had to put 1,6kk dmg more then defender.
@Maurits well if u played a mmorpg (wow alike) the pvp looks simple enough, but overall coordination is harder since this is not a 20 vs 20 but a 2.000 vs 2.000 and counting.
the thing is that powerful player will become more powerful and low strength one will advance harder through ranking. just imagine a gui like zzz coming in selecting a target with <10 str and "1 hitting" him... but i might be wrong and it will different 😃
@Papa Pitufo well the concept of starting wall has no place in the new war module, juts the infrastructure (DS/H), the terrain and the rest is rock-scissors-paper and coordination 🙂
hmmm if you started testing yesterday, we would have about 1-2 months to v2. maybe 3. we'll see 😃
I can't wait it, but i think that it will bring hard time for some period.. but i'm expecting much fun and atraction 😃
It seems (I repeat,SEEMS) that in V2 the battle module will be brain over brawn which is quite nice but so far I don't see any more great improvements to the game. I mean 'WOOOW' improvements.
I might be in a bad mood today hence, I see all things darker than they really are but I have a feeling that the greatest battle we all gonna have is with that headless chicken. Unless they change that too. With a headless turkey.

lol NO, Lana is not getting killed, she retires to Monaco, with a huge bank account and sends her 3 new employs girls to do the work 😁

regarding the house industry i consider that is a good thing that houses changed from permanent to consumption items because this way the industry won't be affected for example if there is no BB or the world is not increasing in population, which the main factors that affect this industry. basically house becomes as bread 🙂
what will be interesting will be the construction costs cause if i still have to pay 20G on a q5 house that disappears in 2 weeks or 1 month, then we might have a problem....

p.s. It looks ugly and the concept is wrong, old version was unique new is pretty mediocre.
