Ok, so this is another one of those crazy come back articles...

I'm guessing I got your attention with my title. No? Yeah, thought so, too... 🙂

So, I’m going to announce again, for the third time, that, I was inactive for the past months because my laptop is not responding properly to this site.

Also, for the fourth time, I’m going to announce that I will be glad to continue my duty as a corny contributor for the MoM. The first was a letter to President Slothen, then, I commented on the “Government Hiring” article, next was the letter I sent to MoM, and lastly, this article.

Now, I’m going to post a short editorial about the “eRepublik Rapture” (the strange disappearances of our fellow eFilipinos).

Unjustified PermaBan

Recently, eRepublik experienced the wrath of the “admin” when many of the New World’s citizens disappeared in the face of the New Earth. Why? They we’re permanently banned for “multi-accounting”.

As Kymomo of Sealand News put it in his article, a “crack down” on multis.

There was a so-called “crack down”.

Yes, it is quite true that the admin hold the power to “take the soul” of one’s account and make it unusable anymore, but is the reason really a concrete reason to ban them? They are banned because of they are accused of “multi-accounting”, for the reason that the two different users are using one computer, because they found that it had the same IP address.

We still can’t be sure that the evidence stated could be trusted as strong. As we have seen in previous experiences, Mr. (Mang) Topy’s former username, Agent JC Denton, and his sister’s account (yes, it was in fact, his sister’s), Sisa Denton, was permanently banned because his sister registered a computer with the same IP address as his. Also, other situations could be applie😛 when you donate a huge amount to a player, does it mean you’re multi-accounting? If you tried to hack someone in your computer, its multi-accounting (well, this could serve as a warning to hackers out there, and I would not even encourage hacking, too). If you play in an internet cafe and logged in on eRepublik, then logged out, and after you used the computer, someone who plays eRepublik, unknown to you, logs in on that same computer. And you don’t even know that guy. So he’s multi-accounting?

What if someone who had two computers made two different accounts on each of the computers? Would he/she not be accused of multi-accounting?

Guess the admin are just trying their best to “protect” us. It has happened, and there is not one thing that we could do to reverse the situation, well, unless the admin moves. But here’s one question for everyone to ponder: Can you just sit in your chairs when you see injustice performed in front of you? Or will you wait until you are a victim of injustice itself? #

That end’s my editorial. To all journalists there, please try to criticize it. I’m joining a contest on editorial writing and I’m considering this as practice, so expect more editorials.

Feel free to kill me with your articles. Thank you.
