I took a lot of time to consider this pick. I wanted to pick the best possible person for this position. In my eyes, I always viewed the VP as the next possible president and I wanted to make sure that whoever I picked was somebody capable and committed to making the eUSA the best possible nation it could be. I wanted somebody that I knew would work hard and would always be willing to give an informed opinion on national and international policy. Probably the key characteristic that I was most looking for was independent thought. I do not want people in my cabinet or as my Vice President that agree with me all of the time.

I want a team of rivals. Independent thought is the key to creating solutions that can help the eUSA return to glory. Blind followers will not help the eUSA in its time of need. I want people willing to disagree with me. I wanted a person that could show me alternative solutions to our current problems. I wanted somebody that isn't afraid to challenge me. When I approached this person about being Vice President, the first thing he told me was: "You do realize we have widely diverging opinions on executive vs legislative authority & infrastructure?" As soon as he said that, I knew I had made a very wise pick. My Vice Presidential pick is:

My Reasoning

My reasoning for picking Max was simple. I view Max as a future President. He is well respected and liked by the American people and is probably the most multi-partisan person currently in the eUSA. His contributions to the eUSA are immeasurable. I would like to mention a few of the things that Max has done for the eUSA and for his fellow citizens:

1. Ran and funded the construction hub for the eUSA, providing countless new players jobs.
2. Runs and owns Q5 hospital and defense companies that he provides the materials for. Using the high ranking men and women of the eUSA military, they provide hospitals and defense systems for both the eUSA and several of our allies. This has saved us thousands in gold.
3. Helped fund the MI in its pursuit of becoming self sufficient, by purchasing organizations and companies.
4. He upgrades our fort companies from Q2 to Q3 weapons companies.
5. Is currently serving as the 3 time congressman from Ohio. His opinions are both respected and followed in congress.
6. He has helped fund several military operations for the SEALS.
7. Has funded and armed numerous tanks and citizens for some of our major battles.
8. Cleared our citizenship backlog from over 2600 requests to just about 20.
9. He helped fund the Salvation Army in the eUSA through many generous donations along with the Wasteland Commission, Flying Unicorn Squadron, Fort Harlot Weapons, and The Flufferton Foundation.

11. Has handed out hundreds of moving tickets and gifts to new citizens.
12. Hands out Q5 weapons to employees on Christmas.

Another thing, I would like to mention about Max is the fact that his actions show an incredible amount of personal initiative. Often when a lot of people in government see a problem, they spend a lot of time panicking over the problem, then arguing over the problem, then trying to solve the problem, and finally coming to some sort of solution to the problem. When Max sees something he does not like or thinks can be done better, he takes the personal initiative to attack that problem and find a solution by himself. It's an incredible burden, but also shows what an incredible will and sense of dedication he has. I can say right now, that I am incredibly proud to have a man like Max McFarland running with me in this election. In Max I trust and I certainly hope we earn your vote come election time.
