Joe's Hardtalk - Interview with President Perfect Knight

Day 922, 05:15 Published in Israel Israel by Joe Franco

Welcome to Israel’s first edition of HardTalk. A series of open and hard interviews where confrontation will be sought over controversial issues.
Your host will be Joe Franco and today’s guest will be Number 1 in the political hierarchy, our President, Perfect Knight.

In real life an Israeli, living and working in Tel Aviv.

Hello Mr. President and welcome to Joe’s Hardtalk. How have you been doing lately?

> Quite good. Thanks 🙂

Examining your run as current President, we could conclude it was quite a easy run, no real challenges or difficulties, perhaps holding on to status quo, you must have been quite content with that?

> Indeed Joe, I would really sum it up as holding the current status quo, but behind the purple
curtains of the political arena, there has been, and still continuing, a lot of activity. Some attempts
from outside to influence the Israeli Money Market, some Political Take Overs (PTO) attempts, and without the public noticing these threats...which all didn’t make my life as a president completely so easy.

Your image, as a distant ruler, with the normal working Israeli’s, does that bother you at all?

> Yes, a lot. To be honest that was my only mistake, in my opinion, in terms of handling the current administration. I see my self as the people's man. I am very friendly but somehow I didn't pull through with enough communication with my people. That upsets me very much.

Tell me honest, is the person behind Perfect Knight a 13 year old girl, or a 68 year old man?

> Hahahaha, a 22 alpha male I would say, living in Tel Aviv.

Mr. President, could you elaborate to the Israeli people what your motivation was to become President?

> Well, in the hypothetical case there would be 4 types of presidential figures: A military, an economical, a social and a domestic sort of president. All in all, I would say, or I think myself to be a mix of military and domestic type. My primary goal was to serve as high protector of the house of eIsrael.

Do you think, in all modesty of course, that you achieved those goals?

> I personally think, I did a good job. For instance with promoting eIsrael little bit on the international arena, ok a little bit, and also an implementation of a solid program for handling with new players. That program is now being executed by the ministry of development. Of course the whole set-up and organising of a ministry is done behind the purple curtains of government, as you call it. But it is a “silent” success because most citizens do not see its activity.

I have to agree with you there Mr. President, but could you tell us what companies or businesses do you own, or hold a greater than 5% stake in?

> To be short and clear: none whatsoever I’m flat broke Joe. 🙂

Could you answer this question while I run through your donation list 🙂, will Israel see another month of Perfect Knight as a president?

> Hmmm, perhaps. Most probably.

What is the first thing you noticed about people around you, when you entered office?

> I knew the moment I climbed the top of the pyramid as Head of State, I would become the lighting rod of so many people's rants and complaints about nearly everything. Even worse, I really became quite disappointed in several people, who showed great promise in the beginning. But overall I can say I’m quite happy Joe.

Although I would like to elaborate that our biggest problem as nation, isn't the war with Turkey or the economical difficulties, or even the lack of resources. It is actually the division of our nation and how it blinds people with puny agendas. While the real goal of our people should be unity and solidarity regardless of geographical location. Our mix of time zones with 2 big communities should have been utilized as an asset to Israel, not as the reason for division. The day people would realize that in unity lies our strength, we are able to overcome any goal or situation we might encounter as a nation.

That Joe, is the least I have learned while being the President of Israel.

Alright Mr. President, while you take a sip of your vodka, I will lay down a few questions which can only be answered by a simple yes or no:

Tasked oriented person? No
People oriented person? Yes
War with Turkey in June? No
Old boys network does exist in Israel: No
Any lies? No?

Well, this will round up the interview Mr. President, but before we conclude I would like you to give me a name of a Israeli Citizen for the next interview and a question you would like to ask him or her:

> Joe, I would like to grab this opportunity and ask mrsjholiday, as premier citizen and invaluable asset to any government, to tell us, a bit about yourself and how do you manage Erepublik?

Well folks, that’s it for today, thank you Perfect Knight and I hope you enjoyed our opening with the President and I will be back soon with an interview with mrsjholiday, if she agrees of course.

This was Joe Franco signing off with Perfect Knights motto: “I promise, I shall not lead our seed into greed nor evil"
