Jeanlouis for Auckland Once More!
Ludoviko la Nepreparita
So, we’re once again faced with this time of the month again: congressional elections. However, this month it takes place in one of the busiest, and generally happiest times of the year: Christmas! I would first like to wish those who celebrate Christmas a Happy Christmas. To those who don’t, I wish you a Happy Holiday season!

Now, in this sometimes-hectic season, people may not have much time for eRepublik. So, as always, I’ll try to be as brief as possible without skimping on details.
A Short Recap
First I’d like to re-thank you all for electing me to my first term. It was a good experience for me and it taught me a lot about ePolitics. I’d like to recap a few of the things I’ve done this term. Before voting on every bill, I scrutinised my vote carefully and then picked what I believed to be the best choice for my country and citizenry.
With taxes for example, I voted every single tax-hike proposal down and every bill to lower taxes up. While I understand that taxes are important for a government to run, I do not believe those kinds of tax hikes were necessary.
What about this upcoming term?
As for the future, I will keep doing what I have always believed to be the best way to represent a nation, and that is to listen to the voice of the people. Also I will never vote for a proposition that would harm my country or it’s citizens. I have been elected to represent you in Congress (or Parliament) and I will ensure I do so to the fullest extent possible.
I hope that when you go to vote on the 26th of December, you vote for whoever you feel is the person who will represent you the best. I hope it will be myself, but even if it isn’t, I ask that you just get out and voice your opinion.
Thank you for your time.

Good luck Jeanlouis
Thank you Arolia.
I would also like to address a PM that an eKiwi had sent me concerning my political stance on the issue of the 'Serbian' presence in the eNZ government. He/she has said that they believe we need to be fighting more vigorously (but peacefully) to defend our homeland. While I agree with them that not one party should just dominate the government and only listen to their voice and completely eschew the others, my main concern is not necessarily who is running the government. I am much more concerned with the overall well being of the citizenry and country to grow and prosper both economically and socially.
I hope that this answers any questions you may have about my views on the matter.
Remember to get out and vote on the 26th. Make your voice heard!
Jean-Louis (up for re-election in Auckland 😃)
