Japan Election Commission
Imperial Sun Party
I am happy to announce the creation of the Japan Election Commission (日本選挙委員会), a non-partisan organization dedicated to ensuring that foreign elements are not able to win congressional seats in any region of Japan. The organization will cooperate with party leaders to ensure that they are not approved for election as well as provide moving tickets to voters to oppose those malicious candidates, such as known-PTOers and habitual gold-diggers who come to Japan simply to take the gold for elections.
Some have argued that an organization such as this is unnecessary, yet each month, candidates win elections in our least densely populated regions and take the gold with them. Some have argued that the effort and resources for moving tickets required to stop them is not worth the five gold they take. But the national image is at stake! To lose congressional seats unnecessarily is to lose face, and we must demonstrate that Japan is capable of competing on every field, martial or electoral. This organization will strive to achieve that end.
I also reject this because this world is a zero-sum game: every gold a foreigner takes from us strengthens them and, in relative terms, weakens us. They will be able to purchase goods that will help them gain ranks and experience while we cannot. I encourage my fellow eJapanese to support this effort and after the June 25th elections, I will ask congress for funding adequate to the task. For the first budget, the Japan Election Commission will ask for JPY equal to the cost of 10 moving tickets.
It is my hope that this organization will eventually become obsolete, either through a large increase in the population of eJapan that will render PTOs or "gold-digging" difficult, if not impossible OR the citizenship module the Admins are discussing renders such activity impossible. In these cases, I hope that the Japan Election Commission will find new life assisting immigrants who wish to come to Japan or will assist Japanese voters who wish to go abroad and support foreign candidates in critical elections.
Congressional debate about the Japan Election Commission is available here:

Here are the details about how the organization will work:
1) The organization will compile a list of known rogue candidates, posted and updated in the nipponblog.net forum.
2) Immediately prior to congressional elections, an announcement identifying rogue candidates will be made.
3) All expenditures and donations of moving tickets, including who the tickets were purchased from, will be posted in the forums. Every JPY should be accounted for.
4) Party leaders will be encouraged to submit the names of voters who are willing to move to support candidates who oppose "gold-diggers." During elections, the Japan Election Commission will contact these voters directly, instruct them on where to go and who (NOT) to vote for, then donate moving tickets as appropriate.

The organization logo apparently does not quite function yet, such is the situation with avatars in eRepublik. It will look like the one above, a rising sun emblazoned with the characters "選管," (SENKAN) a Japanese contraction for 選挙管理委員会 (SENKYO KANRI IINKAI), which basically means Election Management Commmission.
And fellow eJapanese, definitely do not mix up your 'l' & 'r's in this one.
北先生,
Every week you impress me further. I could never expect the election commission to become a reality so quickly, and now I find myself with one of my congressional talking points nullified. But such is its nature that I am happy to see it go.
I hope I speak for all Japanese people when I say, thank you for bringing this organization to life. And doubly thank you for creating it in time for the upcoming elections.
All Japan will benefit from such a wise and reasonable policy set up by one of our wisest new leaders.
There is no doubt that as outlined above there will be few flaws and we shall see this election the beginning of a new age for eJapan - an age of responsibility and righteousness.
Yay, I am glad to see it coming about. If I can help in anyway let me know. 🙂
I was going to sneak some Election commission into all my NnK (Government newspaper) articles. I'm working on lists right now. I'm just waiting for KMT's list actually- then I can get started.
KITA Ikki, I'd like to work with you in the future; with lists of rogue candidates and an effort to place candidates in regions which will benefit Japan on a greater scale.
Thanks,
~Minamoto
Glad to see that's coming 🙂Voted!!
The Orange Party officially recognizes the Japan Elections Commision, and salutes Kita Ikki for his excellent work!

I too & The Democratic Party of Korea recognizes the Japan Elections as a part of making South Korea a temporary autonomous region. Go Japo-Korean Empire! Vote Neon Seravee to see a brighter future.
Great job Kitta Ikki
I support this ORG until the launch of the Citizenship Module. I support with Gold as well as good words.
