Hello again friends, loved ones, fgts and the rest of you internet infected trolls,

My name is GreekHoplite and I am running for Congress in the state of Colorado. If you happen to be a tad unfamiliar with this state, then have no worry because here is a brief overview:

The Rocky Mountains...they're not so rocky. John Denver's full of $^*! man!



Also, there is a place in the mountains where I do not recommend Joos, Mormons, Crab People, Aliens and Barbara Streisand go.

But seriously, I have discourse for you all to consider.

1) Karnataka



We're losing it. Deal with it. One takeaway we might gain from this is our own country's ability to let go, adapt and rebuild elsewhere. There is not much else to say except deal with handing it over to India as agreed earlier or we'll cut you. Mmk? 😃

2) Taxes



I will be honest with you that this is not my strong suit, but I do understand that there are considerable situations that arise in which Congress must take action. For example, a diamond company in Arkansas, USA is entrepreneurial suicide; not to mention it is just as bad for the workers of the company. Why? Its been proven that medium resource regions are not worth running land skill companies...unless you have some stupid affinity for the region or are very rich in RL.
What would be Congress' actions towards such companies? First, land skill regions like diamonds in the eUSA are not capable of developing as many diamonds as would a high region in Nunavut, Canada or Limpopo, South Africa. Consequently, the workers at such a 'medium' resource region company are even held to a disadvantage because they will not be producing their highest potential productivity in such a region.
This is one instance taxes (or VAT) are lowered/raised (in this case raised) because we either want to discourage such companies from existing or the government (our eUSA) needs to acquire and facilitate necessary increases to pay for our country's military. The military is one example of a great reason to adjust taxes for the betterment of our nation.

3) Foreign relations



We love our allies. As a courtesy to our allies we have stellar coordinated teams that organize individuals to be ambassadors to other eNations...this includes even our enemies as well! As a participant in the Political Action Committee for the USWP I have learned pivotal strategies in how to effectively communicate nationally, as well as globally, with our citizens and allies. What I would like to investigate further as a newer congressman are our advantages/disadvantages of our foreign relations and look for new opportunities to enhance global communication.

What the hell does that mean, GH? Basically, eRepublik heavily relies on the war module for most of the economic prosperity and disparages we see (its not ALL Lana's fault hehe). Outside of the game, via irc or forums there is always opportunity to research our allies' needs and wants and see how we can accommodate. We already have established relations. Let's see how we can expand on those relations by simply popping in their irc channels and chatting with them.

4) Future Politicians of eUSA



This makes me smile when I read up and coming articles by individuals who have ambition to run for Congress for the first time. I especially admire their perseverance and willingness to learn from their past losses and acquire the knowledge that they lacked the first, second or even third time around and build on that while attempting another go at the Congressional Elections.

I have aspirations in starting a program in which seasoned Congress members become assigned a 'little buddy' or 1st time Senator to act as their mentor through Congress during their tenure. First off, I will create the program entirely on a volunteer basis because I know there are Senators out there that would be more than happy to pick up a buddy and help them with all their questions about Congress outside of eRepublik. Secondly, during my term as Senator in April I witnessed a lot of negative feedback about Congressional elections and how over half of the senators that are elected do not do didly squat. And this is true! Some elected Senators are there for the xp gain. But I do not believe that over half of the senators are there for just that (although the xp boost is pretty awesome, mrite?)

If elected in Colorado for this term I plan to initiate this program by personally messaging all Congress winners (1st winners) to see if they would like a buddy to guide them over the duration of the month on the ins and outs of REAL Congress...not that two-clickity crap you get for just experience gain. Of those 1st term Senators interested I will begin looking for Incumbents of the office to see if they will participate in this Congress-buddying program.
