It ain’t over ‘til the paying customer quits.

Day 875, 14:07 Published in USA USA by Sossu

After a world-wide outrage about the controversial ending of the battle of Western Australia, the Administration Team has now released an official statement about the outcome. I stated in my previous article that I’m cool with it if Indonesia won the battle fairly, I just wanted an explanation about how they did it because to me and to every single person who can watch a youtube video it was crystal clear that Australia and the Allied Forces won the battle. Well dear readers, I have some good news and some bad news for you.

Good news

Administrators admit that Australia lost the battle due to a game mechanics failure.

” The automatic system of closing the battle has begun to run later then the time it should have.”

Like stated in dozens of articles, the wall of Western Australia was in No Man’s Land during overtime, which should have resulted in to an immediate victory for the Defender. Admins have now admitted that the tool that stops the battles during overtime is not working correctly and it ends the battles later than it is supposed to. This is exactly the reason why Indonesia won in Western Australia 3 days ago.

Well, Admins reversed Norway. Sure they will fix the consequences of this bug as well. Right?
Unfortunately, I’ve not told you the bad news yet, but I assume you can guess them already.

Bad news

They aren’t going to do anything about it.

” When a battle had come to an end and it had been influenced by a delay in the system, we did not interfere with the results. This exact decision will be applied also in this case.”

English-Admin-English-dictionary tells the statement above means this:

”The game is broken. We aren’t going to fix it.”

Admins have decided to neglect the thousands of working hours spent to organize the defences around Western Australia, and when the results are spoiled by the broken game, Admins do admit it but do nothing about it. I desired to know how Indonesia won the battle, but I am surprised that instead of telling how, the Administration spits on the face of their customers and shows total lack of respect towards players and incompetence to fix the problems around this game and particulary around the most imporant part of it, the War Module. It sure does inspire Alliances to start huge battles when you can’t trust how the battle is going to end even if you win it, right? How about inspiring people to spend RL-money in to this game? Well, the Administration Team made it to the Stone age of pleasing customers when they made a clear statement in Norway that multi'ing is not allowed, but now we're back at Cambrian age.
When I go to Starbucks to get some decent Vanilla-Caramel Cafe au Lait in a paper cup, I really do want a decent Vanilla-Caramel Cafe au Lait in a paper cup instead of a plastic bag full of cold water and a hole in it. I sure would be disappointed if they gave me that instead of what I paid for. Same goes with eRepublik.

In short, today on day 875, eRepublik is a pathetic and utter disgrace.

And this article isn’t by any means a complaint or a suggestion for the eRepublik Team. That’s why I didn’t post it on Forums.

"...we apologize for every problem that appears."

Well that makes me feel better for sure. And the new Treasure Maps? That's all I ever wanted!
