Irish MOD end term review

Day 1,841, 14:40 Published in Ireland Ireland by Death and Taxes

Good evening citizens of the Irish Republic.

As Minister of Defence it is my duty to give you a quick analysis and review of the events that have occurred during my time as minister.

To begin with I need to address the most important event that occurred during the term, and that was the refusal of EDEN High Command to accept Psych0 as our MoD. Now technically, that is not quite correct, as what they did was to refuse him access to any EDEN channels. As a consequence, Psych0 felt he had no choice but to resign.

This behaviour is completely unacceptable, and has probably done more lasting damage to our relationship then any other previous incident between us since Bulgaria left EDEN under acrimonious circumstances.

If I was to make a suggestion to EDEN, it would be to apologise to the Irish Nation for such a transgression and give an undertaking not to prevent any future MoD access to EDEN channels. It's not like there is anything vitally important that takes place there anyway.

Anyway, here's the team that advised for this month:

So, in order, this is what we di😛

We finished a very successful training war with Canada and remain on excellent terms with them

We stabilised Boot Camp in terms of funding and advice from private citizens and after a traumatic revolving door of commanders, we are pleased that Irasian will continue the good work that former commanders have done. We ask all citizens, military units and political parties to continue to support this worthy institute

We sent out a circular to all military commanders imploring that they or their members joined the national army - the Irish Army to allow us to better coordinate our damage in battles, in doing so I left my own unit as an example. This was not particularly successful, but it is important to recognise that these units have a right to independence.

We established a daily circular to all Irish military units that informed the commanders and the CP what EDEN priorities were that day. These orders were often updated and sometimes countermanded depending on what we felt was right for the country

We communicated with EDEN and informed them that the country was going to re-establish a national strike night. These three strikes were funded by the Ministry of Defence - I will explain this Day 1843

You can read about these strikes here, here and here

We assisted and ensured that the Irish Army arranged, coordinated and specified these strikes. We also tested their loyalty and integrity with our supplies. Let me tell you that they are completely trustworthy and honourable people there

Finally, at all times we sought to communicate to the citizens, communicate to the military units and communicate with our alliance and allies. I would like to take time out to commend my Canadian counterpart klop123 for his support and advice

Being MoD this month was not an onerous task. However, I would hope the actions that we have undertaken, particularly the national strikes as well as frequent reports becomes a stable for future ministers.

My thanks to WHS, a good and loyal CP, and to the rest of the government for supporting these endeavours.

I am, and will always remain, a faithful servant to this country.
