Inwegen for Washington Congressman Feb-Mar 2009

Day 458, 00:00 Published in USA USA by Inwegen

Hello my Washingtonian brothers and sisters.

I am so happy to be back in the great state of Washington. This is not only the birthplace of my eRepublik character, but also my birthplace and home in real life. It is great to finally have the chance to run to represent you, the citizens of Washington, in Congress.

Most of you are probably wondering why Jordan Miller (Current USWP Congressman from Washington) is not running for re-election. First off, he has done a great job serving our state for an incredible 6 months. It is quite astonishing how quickly time flies. Jordan is also busy with real life and feels that his recent inactivity signals that it is time to hand the reigns over to someone else. Jordan recommended me and I am quite honored to accept the party nomination for the official candidacy in Washington.

First off, a little about myself. I have been the USWP Communications Director since the beginning of January and have loved every minute of it. I couldn't be in a better party than USWP. Everyone over there is great and the friendships that have been built are so good. I am also the current USA Secretary of State. It has been a very steep learning curve, but I love the job and all that it entail.

My Platform: We're gonna keep this as short and simple as possible. There is no need to be lengthy when you have most likely read the nitty gritty details in numerous other articles.

Taxes/Economy:
I fully support the newly announced the Publius-Ananias-NoneSuch-Economic Council (PANEC) plan. PANEC is the work of our Economic Council and various Economic experts in game. There has been much bickering about the economy in the past couple weeks and the best thing we can do is to support those with many economic differences that have come together and formulated a great compromise. I fully support this current plan and leave my mind open to changes as this plan shows what it can do for our economy.

War:
I believe that war is something that this game was built upon and we must go to war to boost our economy, wellness, and military strength. But, when we go to war, our enemies also receive these benefits as seen in the most recent battle in Portugal. I support war games with our allies as a method to boost the aforementioned qualities of our nation and our allied nations.

Foreign Affairs:
As Secretary of State I see this stuff every day. Our alliance ATLANTIS is stronger than ever. Member nations are getting along much better and more efficiently after the reforms performed under the Justinious presidency. Obviously, we as an alliance, are still butting heads with PEACE as both alliances attempt to influence the direction in which smaller or new nations go. It appears PEACE would rather infiltrate and election bomb to overtake the nation and extend their borders even further. ATLANTIS is taking the complete opposite approach of helping these nations to get established and have the option to choose whatever military/alliance option they want to. The USA would like to see strong relations built up between these smaller and newer nations instead of taking the easy way out of gobbling them up. The long term benefits of good relations with a nation outweigh the short term benefits of occupying a nation.

Thank you all for reading through this. I know congressional time takes some reading to get to know you candidate and even then you may not have a complete picture. That being said, feel free to contact me via PM if you have any questions about myself, my platform, or what I will do if elected.

Thanks,
Inwegen
