Introductory Article From the New Minister of Information
Starks Hayter
Hello,
I would like to reintroduce myself as the latest Minister of Information. Thank you to President Nithraldur for the appointment. Some of you will hopefully remember me as the Minister of New Citizens from the last term, a job I received some nice comments on. I hope to bring a high standard to the job I have now been appointed to.
President Elections
Just to quickly go over the elections, Nithraldur won with the following results.
(Name - Party - Votes)
Nithraldur - IUP - 110
Kiemar - ISRP - 84
CloudGT4 - IFP - 23
Thomas Oliver - The Irish Party - 17
Congratulations to Nithraldur and Vice President Severin, have a good term. Hard luck to the other candidates.
Cabinet
Nithraldur has selected the Cabinet for this month. The following is a list of Ministers.
Vice-President: Severin
Minister of Information: Starks Hayter
Minister of Defence: Top Gun
Minister of Health: Pdiddy
Minister of Foreign Affairs: Eamon_De_Valera
Minister of Finance and Industry: Patton
Minister of Education: declandonaghy88
Due to a severe lack of applicants, a Minister of New Citizens was not appointed. Nithraldur is still taking applications for this job. Also, each Minister may take on Deputies to help him in his job. If you applied to a position but missed it, feel free to contact the Minister to take the position, or a Minister in the Department of your choice, and ask him to be a Deputy if you feel you have something to contribute.
To all Ministers, I would much appreciate any information on what is going on in your Department. Nithraldur has suggested weekly updates to me, which I would like to enforce. I hope to give lucidity for our citizens regarding our government, and I hope our Ministers will assist me on this.
War Games
War was declared between Ireland and the United States on the sixth of May, with fighting commencing yesterday. Thanks to Top Gun and Nithraldur for making this service available to us.

Congress
Our congress has been quiet in the last few days.
Myself and Severin proposed a bill to reform the State Companies in Ireland. When put to a voted, the bill was defeated at 6 votes to 8.

Congratulations on the Ministry and good article.
what he said
Good job as always,Starks.
Thanks guys 🙂
congrats starks. flying the flag for the largest party in congress with only two cabinet positions.
I will get you some information as soon as possible Starks, cheers.
@Aran Tal: do you expect some other kind of outcome? I'm sure the ISRP would have been heavily represented in the cabinet had Kiemar won. That is the way these things work.
congratulations on a good article, keep up the good work! 🙂
" I'm sure the ISRP would have been heavily represented in the cabinet had Kiemar won. That is the way these things work."
Personally I don't think it should work that way. Though I've always been less partisan than most...
Oh and good article Starks.
Good article Starks.
The cabinet selection did not come down to party politics, Nith picked who he taught would best suit the job based on the applications he got.
"the largest party in congress with only two cabinet positions." They were seven positions up for grabs. The IUP got three, the ISRP got 2, IF got 1 and there is still one to be filled. How is that not fair? The more members a party has decides how much applications are sent (and the IUP have about 73 more members than the ISRP) not how much people are in Congress...
Just because someone doesn't get into the Cabinet does not give them the right to go off on a huff and say the selection was unfair. They should do something constructive like apply to be a Deputy.
There was a reduction in VAT on weapons, not in import tax as your article says.
