Introducing U.N.Z.I.P.

Day 1,155, 22:19 Published in New Zealand New Zealand by WahooBob

The party formally named New Zealand Unity Party, then The Super Sweet Sixteen Party, then Kiwi Revolution Party, and most recently New Zealand Solidarity Union, has been re-named United New Zealand Independent Party. Yes, its a revolving door of names, but I am confident this one will stick for a while.

The reason is simple, it's a fun name. I'm a guy who recognises that this is, at the end of the day, a game. Games are designed to let us have fun. What's the most fun a guy can have? UNZIP.

As UNZIP President, I will do everything I can to make the game more fun. Right now, I write articles poking fun at the Admin (aka Plato?). I help lead a small militia called Te Pori. I run small contests from time to time, encouraging others to participate.

I also have a "srs bsns" side. I'm all about transparency and honesty from our leaders. As a congressman, I have pushed for presidents to make their budgets public. I have demanded explinations on law proposals. And, when I can, I pass along my findings (or lack thereof) to all my fellow citizens.

My hope is that UNZIP will come to embody my philosophy for this game. We need to have fun, but not too much fun. A sane sort of fun, where everyone involved wins. We are always welcoming new members, and right now interested folks who are looking to step up their involvement in the game need look no further. PM me is you are interested in helping to lead UNZIP, we have many different ways to get started.

Those hoping to run for Congress should post in our private section on the NZ Community forums. Members who can't see the private section should request group membership, then harrass either Crusadercarl, Bass Junkie, or myself to get the request approved.

The comics from Dncelyn have been making less sence lately, but here ya go:
