The Communist Party of eCanada has become the Socialist Party of eCanada. We have decided to make the change to better reflect the actualities of eRepublik, and our own personal views. This does not mean we are abandoning our far-left ideology, but we will be switching from an authoritarian to a libertarian philosophy.

We believe these changes will lead to policies that more easily conform to the limits of eRepublik, which make authoritarian regimes and command economies near impossible to enforce. With this said, we will continue to be strong supporters of the commune system and of increased social programs.

The Socialist Party of eCanada’s manifesto is now in the works, and will be posted in our newspaper in the coming weeks. We encourage all party members to join the forum and give their input.
